You really think I am here to argue and debate Consciousness all day? Do you know how pointless that is? Reality is ABSOLUTELY SUBJECTIVE!! IT IS SUBJECTIVE!!! THERE IS NO ABSOLUTE FINITE TRUTH!!! It doesn't exist!!! What does that mean? It means unless you are debating with someone with the purpose to ADD their perspective to your understanding instead of defending your position IS A WASTE OF TIME!!!

Majority of you on here who debate....I already understand what you are communicating. But what I notice is...you don't understand me. I have spent my entire life adding the perspectives of others whether I agree or disagree with them to my perspective. There is genius even in a fool's perspective. So guess what? As a result...I have so a broad perspective it is ridiculous. Why? Because my mind has been trained and honed to pick up a person's perspective and dive right in. As I do that I can even see the logical inconsistencies in their own perspective and many times could explain and argue their own perspective BETTER than them. This is only possible with a mind that realizes that there are limits to it's own understanding and their is a benefit to adding differing perspective.

Many of you say the same thing...just a different way...at a certain point it gets tiring for me to listen too.....most of you lack novelty...a truly original perspective or point of view. Actually give me a creative way of looking at something UNIQUE to you. FORGE an original perspective....or keep being a recorder.

The true purpose of debate is not to win the argument, but to add the different point of view to your frame of reference. Even if someone were to beat you in an argument, if you understand him and he leaves without understand you....you LEFT WISER and he left the same!!! This is what I mean...people don't see TRUE value, because they are too selfish, too self-centered!! Even Leo struggles with this which is why he made a video saying debate is useless and I laughed at him. I was like....cause you think you are supposed to win, or even convince the other to your side. No!!! The point is to broaden your perspective and find the holes or inconsistencies in your own position. Debate, conflict, it SHARPENS YOU. I have learned more in debate than I ever have in self-study because I have a mirror (person) who can point out my flaws. 

The only issue I have now...is most are terribly unimaginative at critiquing. Highly level critiquing comes from high level discernment and most have no clue how to do that. I am so thankful for my High School AP English Teacher who taught us comprehensional analysis, how to analyze what you think you comprehended and then argue its merit or accuracy.

and you are dead on with your logic - eerily dead on.  But in the end , Truth will always prevail.  It will always win.   No matter how much you or I don't want it to.   Alien consciousness is crap, and no one will brain wash me into thinking it is Absolute Truth because I have already found it.  No, I have become it.   If he truly died, he would not need alien consciousness or some higher level of consciousness.  He would have died.

It's not mindboggling to me at all, in fact it's pretty obvious.

His early content was well-presented distillations of spiritual/nondual knowledge from other sources, that you could go to on your own and read.  He has a gift for taking this kind of content and presenting it in a charismatic manner.

The trouble is, his ego was never going to be satisfied with that kind of restraint, so he had to go full-on psychedelic megalomaniac.

What does enlightenment have to do with any of that? What would lead one to believe that he has any motivation towards that end?  There is too much ego investment there.

This may seem like a stupid question..but how do you know if you (or someone else) are enlightened? I'm certain I'm not . and probably never will be.. but how would I know? I've been practicing for 10-30 minutes a day for the past 3 years (mainly Vipassana meditation). I feel I've gained some valuable insight into the nature of mind and reality .but it's hard to tell if I'm making any real progress.. or where my practice will ultimately lead? Is psychedelics mandatory for enlightenment?  Can you have a conceptual understanding of reality based on watching Leo's videos and consider yourself enlightened?

No! Consciousness is always in some state. The only question is how deeply it comprehends itself. Low states cannot comprehend themselves. 1) That's not what these people are doing.

2) Higher consciousness can be so high that you will not be able to function as a human. That is the whole point. You must recognize that your very human life is an obstacle to you being consciousness. If you want to be a human you will not be highly conscious by definition. So everything these nondual people are talking is just consciousness within a narrow band which is compatible with human life, morality, and sanity. So they can keep selling you satsangs, books, and meditation techniques.

If you become conscious enough you will start to lose your sanity. That's proper consciousness.

I don't know how to answer that. It's a values question. It's up to you to decide what you want out of life.

It's possible for you to dip your toe in the pool and judge for yourself how deep you wish to go. You don't have to dive into the deepest part of the pool head-first. In fact, that's not really even possible without a big over-dose.
