*Version 3.0* John's Practical Guide to Enlightenment

10 posts in this topic

For those of you who have seen my other enlightenment guides before, my apologies for yet another updated version, my apologies but I always continue to learn more. I added an extra 3 pages, and had a vision of combining all the teachings of classical-no self, god realization, and materialism/identity theory debunking all into one mega-awakening PDF guide in order to tackle all sides of enlightenment at once by merging all angles and insights into one. For those of you that are new to my guides, this is for you:

A while back I posted a guide of how to practice enlightenment work for my friend, then made an updated version, and I recently made an 11-page long third version so I figured I would post again. It consists of multiple sections, one being a summary of what enlightenment is, another being my most powerful guided contemplation thought exercise, visualization exercises, materialist objections, and a list of some of Leo's videos in chronological order of how they should be watched and contemplated, and how to go about contemplating them. Highlighted portions are to be most contemplated and important. From my years of studying and contemplation, I believe I have nailed the instructions and made them more accurate and more easy to understand than Leo himself, although I owe my life to him for teaching me in the first place, and being responsible for my first enlightenment experience.

As always, feel free to share questions, comments, or enlightenment stories & experiences below, I love to hear feedback!

Thank you for the guide.

I have a few questions. When the body dies or gets brain damage, what happens? Do we return to the cosmic consciousness?

Would it be possible to raise an infant in the buddha state or non-self state if we never said "you" or "I?"

If we are a dome bubble of perception localized around our body, how does that happen? Maybe during pregnancy or birth or childhood the human brain captures a piece of the cosmic consciousness? And upon death this little piece merges back into the cosmic consciousness?

Thanks :)

You and I are absolutely reflecting each other.

Reframe “non-self” as an everlasting expansion of SELF.

@Soul Flight the individual self is eternal.  it’s not about “you” or “I” or self-awareness. it’s a stream of consciousness that is solitary by nature. you can never cease to be you. the experience of merging with cosmic consciousness is still your individual experience of doing so :)

consciousness doesn’t localize around the body, consciousness imagines that it has a body.

@Soul Flight there’s something totally exclusive about being a self. even if the self experientially merges with God, contemplate the possibility that it can never cease to be individual.:$

Another point is how our eyes blink and vision cuts out. So an infant is raised to be a "self" because it feels like we are just behind the eyes. We can eliminate ownership of thoughts and neutralize the "I" and the "me" but we also seem to have control over visual perception. Can anyone reply to this point? Thanks. :)

self isn’t the feeling of “I”, it’s the stream of consciousness. plenty of creatures probably don’t have a feeling of “I” but nevertheless are conscious.

and there are infinite streams. it only operates in the singular. that’s why there isn’t one God but infinite Gods. every stream of consciousness is imagining its own reality. it truly is a matter of faith to believe that we all inhabit a more or less the same world.
