lucid dreaming

for many years i tried to achieve the goal of lucid dreaming but now i only see a glimpse of what that might look like 
ok so let me tell you what i saw at the start of the dream there is a gate could be a wooden medivial gate like skyrim or could be a iron door both are as big as the starting screen of a video game (the screen that say push any button to start)

The waking dream is the one you should focus on being lucid in.  This dream.   In my night time dreams I have never been able to become lucid or awake because they can't go as deep as this dream.  They are usually me just dreaming differing experiences and not realizing it was a dream until waking.  I almost don't think that type of lucid dreaming really exists.  But here you really can be lucid.
