The benefit of materialism.

I always had a shadow against materialism and I want to outgrow that shadow and see how I can use materialism to my best advantage. 

Time to shed that constant whining against materialism.

I think the negative bias about materialism is partly due to the fact that the ego/sense of self uses these possessions to enhance/inflate/feed its own illusion of the grandiose self! 

Spiritual materialism(spiritual ego) is by far the worst though. These spiritual seekers are completely convinced that the more spiritual knowledge they acuire, the better they will become!

Unfortunately they are usually the most ignorant, stubborn and stuck in their way ego's you will come across. I've seen spiritual ego's get super nasty LOL!
