Strange feeling after nofap for a few days

25 posts in this topic

After a few days of nofap (maybe 5 days) and then finally doing it again (masturbation which watching porn) I feel like I partially remember or forgot what I have done or learned (normal studying, and work) during those nofap days. I should instead feel that I have more memory, right? As I have not fapped and semen is retained. Could it just be my feeling?

Probably just placebo and your feeling
I don't believe in nofap personally but I currently don't fap because I am doing kundalini yoga and that helps with it

All I noticed after three days of nofap was that I gradually started walking like this :

The period where you didn't fap was probably so different from your normal life of fapping that when you came back to fapping that period of nofap didn't seem real.

If you're reporting the effects post-nut, it could because you're more sensitive to the lobotomizing effects of the prolactin surge than usual. So it's a problem with memory recall after fapping, not the recording of memories during nofap.

@Carl-Richard Do you think it would help if I just watch porn when I feel the urges but not masturbate or ejaculate? Does that change anything in the way how my brain works? Maybe I get stronger and the will power increases?

Just find a regular pace where your mental clarity is not too inhibited. For me (26 year old male who lifts), it's once every 3-5 days.

@Carl-Richard

Okay. But how come many people say they have been free from doing it for several months?

The problem is if once I do it, I tend to do it atleast once a day for several days before again deciding to not fap again.

And does just letting the sperm by ejaculating is not bad? Can one still be healthy even when not doing semen retention?

If you value the mental clarity, you'll have it in you to balance it with your cravings.

You guys sure do love to attribute some crazy things to fapping.

Like if you fap or don't reality is so fragile that the Earth will fly off its orbit.

Try this:

masterbate whenever you feel like it…

if you do too much… take a break for a bit

stop thinking about it

move on with your life

go talk to some real-life girls and realize that they’re attracted to you being an awakened man who is coming from their heart-space

the more you worry about your semen the more of a problem it becomes…

stop worrying about it and it stops being a problem

Can't happen.

It may lead to various physiological and emotional benefits, though.

NoFap can create a huge horny distraction loops. That can cause that things get blurry. Kundalini yoga or breathwork can help. Or a good strog rapéh session gives a lot of mental relief. Good luck, it is not an easy practise, so be gentle to yourself. ??

I deleted all of my social media and just stopped watching porn. I was compulsive about masturbation, sex and porn.

Within two weeks, my sex drive dropped 50% and I feel great. I don't think about it too often but I do get naturally horny from time to time.

Nofap leaves you frustrated. It's about balance. And anyways, if you want to do nofap seriously it requires some serious bramacahary shit to transmute that energy.

If you're not transmuting sexual energy, your suppressing it and that is going to be a problem.

And anyways if you do decide to transmute it, I don't think some YouTube breathwork, wim hof or hippie bullshit will do it (in my experience it hasn't worked), I think you need very intense sadhana to use your sexual energy and where you going to learn that anyways?

So try to establish a healthier relationship with your sexuality, masturbation and pleasure and stop this nofap, redpill bs.

So do you say that it's okay to do it, but in moderation?

For 5 days you didn't ejaculate and only studied. Now, you've ejaculated and forgot what you learned. This is typical.

The longer you go without release I've notices a few things. Increased agitation, iron-willpower, preseveration, insane sexual fantasies. I edge every day using mula bandha(no hands, check my journals for more info).

Also, 14 days with no erection, ejaculation(wet dream) is vastly different from 14 days plus edging.

I prefer to release every 14 days(twice a month). It is like a mental RESTART everytime I ejaculate. If I don't then I'll end up not doing any sadhana and just staring at sexual content(sexual needs must be met).

Kundalini is sexual energy.

That's true, but it depends on the person doing it (and what else they're doing).

@MAHAVATAR_-_BABAJI

Once every 14 days is not really a problem for me. I can focus on my work and releasing maybe can lower my stress or such. But how come people say that they have not masturbated or watched porn for like month and they are still OK? And at first I thought it was a lie but not everyone lies, or it cannot be a lie completely, right?

Edit: When I don't masturbate or ejaculate or, neither watch porn, I get recurring dreams in my sleep and that dreaming actually is not allowing me to wake up early. Something like this ever happen to you? And ejaculation in my dreams never happened to me before, not even during the period I was in abstinence for 26 days straight.

What I am trying to tell is, the focus, and peace of mind I have... while I don't spend time on sexual stuff by stimulating myself with porn or by whatever means, that peace of mind is very valuable to me. My past is not good, I got exposed to adult content early in my childhood. I've been to psychiatrists, they diagnosed me with OCD, took pills, now the OCD thing is gone but not this addiction thing. I really want to get out of all this.

As others pointed out, does kundalini yoga help? Have you any experience with it?
