How do you make it out of the ghetto?

4 posts in this topic

Wondering if anyone has any direct or indirect experience with this. I didn't have a stable childhood and found it challenging to overcome old patterns, I still work on those today. But it seems way way harder for people who grew up in a life on the streets and around crime.

So let's say someone has a real interest in personal development and embody some of orange and green, but also very strong red. What would a potential path to 100% legit entrepreneurship look like?

It's more than just breaking mental patterns and changing behavior because there's also a constant environmental factor (all your friends, family etc).

Tate did it, Jay-Z did it, Goggins did it.

Listen to them.

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche

Just for context: this is for a friend who I care about. He's also struggling with trauma and I think possibly memory lapses, like forgetfulness.

He's very open minded and interested in self help and spirituality like us. He's young and still wants to live that life but I don't think it has any long term potential.

In a sense this man is very much awake but idk what happens when his values start to conflict too much. I only see 2 options: either get out of the life or stay in but fall off the spiritual path. Or maybe end up on some blue/purple/red spiritual shit but thats not where he's at. Part of him is more on our level.

I'm not deluded thinking I could help or change him but as a coach I'm interested in possible steps he could take.

One of the options is he could get into a lucrative career

Like IT, marketing, finance, accounting etc.

Training to job in these fields assuming productive days is like less than 1y

That's the low risk option at least

Another is like freelancing which is a bit harder but not too high risk
