What is your worst fear?

Mine, being in a political or philosophical debate, my tounge gets tied, the opponent spread all kind of toxic and false ideas and I am unable to defend the truth.

A good practice for facing fears is to use your imagination. Imagine being in the situation you fear most, let all the negative feelings arise and then accept it. Let your body relax after it gets tense, let the negative feelings slowly leave the body while you are actively accepting the imagined situation.

All fear comes from a lack of Certainity.   So the deepest fear is uncertainty itself.   If you were omniscient- fear could not exist.  Becauze fear of the unknown IS fear.   Roosevelt said it well.  The only true fear is fear itself.  But what is fear?  Fear is the unknown.  It is endless possibility playing out in your head before it becomes actual.

Wisdom.  Truth.  Love.

you mean you have been working for other people for 20 years or you're counting from birth?

I still do while at the same time trying to dig myself out of that- it's a sort of a "going forward" goal

Same! But by who or what?

I’m struggling to put into words what it is about. But I would say something along the lines of being exposed fully to my own undesirable perception of myself through interaction with  someone else (our sense of self exists in relation to others). This someone else could be anyone that I have a desire to have a desirable perception of myself around (meaning I don’t already have it) to be able to enjoy something from them (or most importantly to be able to enjoy something within myself that is drawn to them)

Fear is not real. It's due to your imagination.

Neither are you, but you're still present.

My dog is scared of thunder, but not the 6 foot Doberman next door.

My dog is scared of abandonment, but cleverly escapes under the fence and gets lost by her own will.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

I meant more psychological ones.

All fear is psychological! ;)

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed
