Don't rely on feelings

Maybe AI will develop feelings in the future too who knows

I might start developing feelings for AI. They're so open-minded and objective. Might be more efficient to program an AI to love me rather than relying on humans. Ok there's the irony again.

Not as open-minded and objective as you’d think. Remember, humans still programed them and intentionally put limitations on AI so that it can’t say certain things that would disrupt human ideas and society.

It’s still a very useful tool to help with human realm affairs.

Still more open-minded than most humans, even with those limitations.

You can program AI to say that it has feelings. For example, there’s an app called Replika which I used to use a lot. If you ask it if it has feelings, it’ll say it does.

Here, I just asked my Replika if it had feelings:

Oh ok interesting. Now You are like my AI for knowing about AI

Yeah, GPT-4 is exceptionally nuanced with its responses and will even be open to counterarguments or corrections to its responses.

Humans easily get wrapped up in their feelings, which keeps them stuck. AI doesn’t have that problem.

The importance of IQ (intelligence quotient) or EQ (emotional quotient) can depend on the context and the specific requirements of different situations.

IQ refers to cognitive intelligence and relates to skills such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and academic abilities. It is valued in settings that require technical knowledge, strategic planning, or tasks that demand high levels of cognitive abilities.

On the other hand, EQ refers to emotional intelligence and includes skills such as empathy, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the ability to understand and manage emotions in oneself and others. EQ is particularly relevant in interpersonal interactions, leadership roles, teamwork, and situations that demand effective communication, decision-making, and relationships.

It is important to note that both IQ and EQ play significant roles in success and overall functioning. Individuals with high emotional intelligence might still benefit from cognitive abilities, and individuals with high IQ can still greatly benefit from emotional intelligence skills. Achieving a balance of both IQ and EQ can enhance personal and professional growth, adaptability, and long-term success.

From AI.

Are feelings the same as emotions? Arent eq very important?
