@jdc7733 God focuses on big-picture things. If God had to kill all humanity for the greater good He would do it instantly. It is like killing pests in your field for your crop to grow and feed hungry children in Africa. But the difference is, God doesn't perceive us as pests, we are very important to him. But at the same time, we are unimportant in the big picture of the universe.

It is like building a big castle out of bricks. a single brick is not important when you focus on the castle, but at the same time, a brick is very important and without it, a castle wouldn't be there.
