Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) @Laisa I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your friend, did he pass away? I feel you, art is very emotional for me as well. It's an experience for the soul.. You're really good, I can tell you put a lot of your soul into your art. What inspires me? Ummm... same with you, expressing feelings that need to get out. Usually I listen to a song and draw inspiration from it, this is what I have been working on in the night: Painting over a calendar, going to cut it out and apply it to a painting. It's soul is in the music. Edited April 2, 2017 by Annetta

Posted April 7, 2017 @Annetta I loved the song, I listen to similar ones, mostly instrumental so I don't get distracted, you might like this one! and my friend didn't die, he is pretty alive, it's a long story.. I liked the new skull too, keep going and come back to show us! "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Posted April 7, 2017 @Bebop the skull comes with this poem from Bukowski: "My dear, Find what you love and let it kill you. Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness. Let it kill you and let it devour your remains. For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover." "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Love it, such a beautiful poem too <3 That really resonates with me though, I've made a commitment to choose love over fear, even in the face of death. Thank you for the quote, I'm going to add it to my collection
Posted April 9, 2017 (edited) @MsNobody That's good to hear. That's for the music, I'll check it out in a bit - will listen to it when I work on some more art. (I'll give y'all rep for your art once I have some to give out.) Edited April 9, 2017 by Annetta

Here is mine: I squeak softly, mouse love to share but she stomps on me without a care Then grabs my limp tail with much zeal for her ducks I'm about to become a meal She swings me around and gives a toss and I land in some damp moss I hear the ducks run with a clatter They gulp me down, no need for a platter I like it. Posted April 9, 2017 Oh, maybe I could think of something. I'm not poet... let's see. Can't think of anything. Here's an old one. The closeness surrounds us Like a sweet, bottled perfume And though it all astounds us We still presume it's new. The complexity of the heart And the master of the mind Keep rhythm with the time Though it finishes as it starts Keep close my fellow friends As time slips away Lovers and phases end But closeness shall always stay Keep true throughout the years And remove the bottles lid Let loose locked away tears And smile as we once did Annie - '
