@Whywolf What inspires me? Music for the sake of music. :) And other musicians.

@Soulbass The Z-Depth is rendered as as a pass and DoF iscreated in AE with the frischluft plugin. It gives you much subtle control and is much faster than Mandelbulbs physical FoD! :)

@Whywolf I used to draw when I was 12 but then i stopped for 15 years and got back 6 months ago, I usually draw when I'm sad, its like a way to release the sadness and be in a trance mode, insteresting

Your art is great, I'm amazed by the carcass ones, the colors and everything, flawless

There is some beautiful work in this thread. No visuals but I have been trying to write some poetry lately, experimenting with different formats:

(Ottava Rima)

A handmade piece, designed so exquisitely

Engravings all throughout but etched not too deep

Bell metal was used, like ancient history

Once tapped, throughout the air sacred sound will seap

Focusing on that, your mind in harmony

No thought can last, no emotion is too steap

All this? From a mallet producing a ding?

Heightened consciousness, from the bowl that can sing.

(Ballade)

Truths of life seem like mystery
But I am getting wiser day by day.
Plenty throughout history
Have been able to carve their way.
From nowhere thoughts arise and say,
This will surely take devotion.
I must not wait another day
And put my life in motion.

A path with adventure and inquiry,
Is what I ponder as I lay.
Things will arise that’ll get to me
But that is part of the way.
Undesired emotions are the price to pay;
This is certainly the notion.
I must not cause another delay
And put my life in motion.

One thing is still unknown to me,
And that’s the direction to take today.
Which path will end in ecstasy?
And which will lead me astray?
Whichever I take is surely okay;
My vision will protect me like lotion.
I must put an end to the games I play,
And put my life in motion.

Life will become the prey
And I’ll be a shark in the ocean.
Debts to myself I must repay,
And put my life in motion.

@Laisa Nice, I feel the same way about art.  Which piece means the most to you?

Thank you!  I have two more that are completed, I might post them in a few days.

Acting is my art.

Here is a music video I did a year or two back. Perhaps you can try to guess which one is me based on my profile picture. Pretty cool track too:

Also a short film I was in that was shown at Cannes film festival. I am holding a rifle and saying naughty words O.o:

@Whywolf I think this one, it's big, it was for a friend who helped me in the journey of awakening

I'm looking forward to see them!

I love drawing skulls, you might like those too, the last one was inspired in this poem from Bukowski

"My dear,
Find what you love and let it kill you.
Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness.
Let it kill you and let it devour your remains.
For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover."

A bedroom guitarist. Playing since 2010. This one practice made me to ask and investigate about various things in life which otherwise would be unexplored :)

Beautiful guitar <3

@Whywolf Its about my friend sharing his gift with the world, I see a lot of potential but he cant see what he has inside himself, he doesnt do the "hard work" we are all doing here, I cant judge but though my drawing I can express my unhapiness about the way he decided to take his life

I havent drawn in the last month, but its interesting how it digs in my emotions when I do, its like I feel really sad when I start drawing, usually I'm in some peaks of anxiety, then in the end of the drawing I cry, have no idea why, but its like I open myself up, then throughout the day, the small things, like sunset, flower or kind actions of people make me cry and see the beauty in life, its beautiful but at the same time I'm open to sad things too, I feel like I lose myself and my balance, rollercoaster of feelings, its therapeutical maybe I should do it more often but my laziness and fear of being imbalanced and steer my feelings dont let me.

How about you? What inspires you in your art?

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, that is beautiful though. Btw love your skull drawings, I've always been fascinated by them as reminders of death.
