Your Relationships Are A Mirror of You

35 posts in this topic

Remember, always: The World is A Mirror of You, always reflecting back at you the thoughts and perceptions which you have projected into it.

Regardless of what appears to being going on in "the world at large", one should ask oneself, how loving and harmonious are my personal relationships?

How many arguments do you find yourself engaging in? Is there bitterness and acrimony within the ranks? Do you look at others and think about how you would like to change them? Or, do you love and accept them as they are?

Loving and accepting someone, for who they are, is known as Unconditional Love. This is something you will spend much time working upon when graduating into the next density of Consciousness.

Now, loving and accepting someone as they are does not mean accepting abusive behavior. But, it does mean loving and accepting that soul as The Creator; not the soul's behavior. The behavior is not "who they are"; The Creator within, is who they are.

The quality of your relationships is an excellent mirror from which to gauge the quality of your manifesting; or, in other words, that which you are Creating.

Do you look at a person, and concentrate upon the things that you dislike about them and wish would change, OR the qualities that you enjoy and admire in them?

Remember that all thought, word, and deed, is Creative; is Creation.

You get back exactly what you send out.

So, when you send out the thought:

"Why is she so hard to live with?"

"Why is he always behaving like this?"

Ask yourself, "what exactly am I doing?"

Now focus, as this is so obvious you could easily miss it. In fact, most do. Take away the "question" from your sentence, and in essence you are saying:

"She is so hard to live with".

"He always behaves like this".

Do you see what you are doing?

Remember, ALL thought is creative...!

You have just created the very behaviour in that person, that you wish to change. Simply because you did not understand The Law of Radiation / Law of Attraction.

Now, try an experiment:

Take someone in your life that you love, but sometimes have trouble getting along with.

Think about the thoughts you have projected about that person. The negative thoughts. Ask yourself, does the behavior that you do not like in that person, in any way correspond to the thoughts you have been having about them? If you're honest with yourself, it's a strong bet that it does.

Sure, they must have behaved that way in the first place, to make you notice that you didn't like it, but, we all have off days sometimes. The more you focus on that behavior, the more you are going to see of it. It's just Life, doing what it does, and conforming to your expectations about the way it will be for you.

Now, having recognized this, what will you do about it?

Simply notice your negative thoughts as they arise, and "catch yourself" as you are having them. Then, simply change your perspective. Focus instead, about the things you like about this person. How you love their smile, the sound of their happy laughter; the way they do such and such nice thing, how helpful and loving they can be.

Keep putting those positive thoughts out. You must persevere, even as you may have a bit of negative work to undo first.

Just keep catching yourself, and focus on the positive. Then, prepare yourself for an almost magical transformation of your life circumstances.

Always monitor your thoughts, and pay attention to their quality; because what you think about, is directly related to what you will see around you, and what Life will show you.

It is the difference between conscious, and subconscious Creation.

@tuku747 splendid.   This is so true.  Look at all of your failed relationships and realize that perhaps they failed not because of the other person- but that the other person was a reflection of your own selfishness.   See this - and see the world around you begin to change

It's much harder than one might deem.  It's very hard - because it means you must sacrifice selfishness.    The more selfishness you can forfeit, the more harmony in your life you will find.  This is very counterintuitive, of course.  Because the ego comes in there and attempts to sabotage everything for its own good.

Lol.  No.  That's just because girls want what other girls have.

What if you’re dealing with a narcissist that’s a borderline sociopath who you like nothing about and can’t yet distance yourself from? Speaking from experience.

What then?

Love him.   For he is still a reflection of you.  If you can love him - well - then you have become one step closer to God.  God doesn't make it easy to get close to him.   To get close you have to sacrifice all that you hold dear.

You created that narcissist by calling them a narcissist. Now your world has to prove to you that they are a narcissist, and they'll keep being a narcissist until you let go of the idea of them being a narcissist. That's how powerful you are. You are the operant power.

Powerful.   Too powerful for most to embrace.  Which is why most don't find God.

You mean most don't recognize that they are God. Their idea of what God is is flawed.

Their mind is not open.  We are all born into a flawed portrait of God.  Slowly, though, if our minds are open, the picture can be repainted.   The variety of brushes are laid bare - it is just that we refuse to see them or pick them up.

Yes, very beautiful, but many people are very selfish and will try to manipulate you, take away what is yours, and if it were not for the protection that society gives us, put a chain around your neck and make you work with a whip until you die of exhaustion. This is exaggerated nowadays, but stealing from you in business, cheating you, manipulating you in relationships, is very common. love the people, but eyes wide open and defenses ready to be used without hesitation

And now they still have that power over you by you not letting it go.

Had a feeling your response was going to be similar to that. Whose trauma is worse and who hasn't walked in similar shoes and let's compare traumas. Listen, I get it. The question is do you want to stay a victim or become empowered. The OP is trying to show you how you can help stop being a victim.
