I have good reason to believe that my parents could be killed because of a secret.

10 posts in this topic

I shared this secret with someone. My friend once, randomly, said "chop your mums head off tomorrow". A few days ago, a man came up to me and said that his parents got killed in a fire. This man also said that he can tell that I am schizophenic, by my eyes. He also told me he is on the same medication as me. I recently read a article about someone who has schizophenia fearing his mother dying, and, she was dying. There were  other coincidences. Please don't tell me about congnitive bias or say it's just a coincidence.

Are you taking your medications? This sounds like paranoid delusions. Don't entertain such things. Base your thoughts on logical arguments. Schizophonics base their arguments on strange  feelings without any logical basis. Don't do that, get a grip on your brain.

Those are some interesting coincidences, but ultimately, it's just a reasoning that you made up. You can come up with an infinite amount of reasons. It will be very exhausting if you decided to entertain all of your reasons. There's no need to give it so much importance, especially since you've strung it together from so many unrelated events.

Fearing death is normal, everyone does that. Dying is also normal, everyone goes through that. You're not being targeted by the universe or something, these are just normal everyday occurences.

@jdc7733 If you have schizophrenia the most important thing you need in life is the self-awareness to know that you where not given a mind capable of making sense of the world. Become humble, very humble about what you know and dont know, assume you know nothing and your always wrong.

Fully accept this statement: You where not given a mind able to make sense of the world in front of you. Fully realize this truth and let go of the need to figure out the world, let go of needing to know the truth, its really not important, it wont help you survival to know the truth, you can live your entire life enjoying everything with out making sense of it.

Let go emotionally of the idea that its you vs the world!

Its so tricky, telling them to base things on logic doesnt work because there logic is wrong and no matter how hard they try to do logic its completely wrong in the end.

Logic is a gift we take for granted.

The only Schizophrenics i see making it have a high enough degree of self-awareness that they arent good at making sense of things. The ones that dont make it have a ego identity build round them making sense of the world and only trusting themselves.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

@LSD-RumiMedications don't work. I've tried many. I've been on this medication for about 2 years now. I used logic to work things out but I need someone who is more knowledgeable to work it out for me.

@Osaid All events are related. I'm guessing that my interpretation is wrong, though.

@integral Best advice here. Thank you.

Got thing, you have insight about your case. You need to work with a good therapist to manage your case properly. Once you learn to ignore such delusions, they become much easier to handle.

@jdc7733 I have a question, do you feel hurt or resentment that people constantly criticized you your entire life? Do you feel like you need to prove to yourself that your intelligence in a way, that you can make sense of things so you can prove everyone else wrong?

Im asking because i get that struggle as ive experienced it and im interested in understanding how life shapes the personality development of a schizophrenics. Why some go one direction and some go another.

@integral I just know that life is strange but I actually know what's going on. I don't think I'm intelligent, that's why I'm here.

Ultimately, yes. You are being biased though. I'm sure there are many events which you don't relate to eachother, even though they are technically all related. There is infinite potential for what you can relate, and thus infinite potential for reasonings, and thus also infinite potential for bias. Just be mindful of this. I think you can see how easily this can go out of hand if you give all your mental reasonings so much significance.

For an average person, they are unrelated, as in, they don't bother to create meaningful relations out of it. For someone like you, you are a bit more obsessive and open-minded, so you decide to create many relations out of it, and so certain troublesome thought patterns start to occur when you give those relations so much importance.

If you see your ideas as they are - just relations - then you can live and co-exist peacefully. If you see them as something more than relations, then you've gone off course, because now you're believing in something that contradicts reality, and so resistance is created.
