Body language analysis is a thing to study. megathread

Another Russel Brand body language analysis, this time from Spidey of Behavioral arts. Good to compare and contrast this to Observe guy's, and my own takes:

Body language analysis by Behavioral arts guy, this time on Teal Swan and the misleading documentary on her. Great lessons in general to learn from as there's so many developmental factors like value systems, cognitive and moral development, personality types/traits, ego development and shadow selves projection, life experiences and other domains of development personal to societal, ideological beliefs indoctrinated, groomed, gas lighted by culture and the anti mainstream/mainstream information warfare, self biases and preferences projected onto this situation. I feel especially there are insights in the culture, narrative, propaganda, ideological and information warfare space.

That is misinformation, that is misleading, one example of the culture and misinformation warfare. How can we have a strong democracy when documentaries like this, that are misleading and misrepresents a person and their career, is allowed to stay on social media sites and go unpunished? Should we start developing an online government to regulate and legislate laws to further define freedom of speech and hate speech, and to protect and regulate against misleading documentaries like this?

This the next one, even more convincing body language analysis and tonality. The person also has anti mainstream biases but if this person feels there's something wrong or missing, and this person's bias is similar to Russel Brand, IMO that's a significant red flag:

A really good debate and arguing panel, to analysis persuasion rhetoric from Andrew. Also decent info on the general body language, verbals, and discourse dynamics to analyze from, with some statements and arguing tactics:

OMG, this is another good source to analyze the body language, tonality and even statements made:

If any of this is true, then this finalizes my intuitions about that whole Mr. Girl and Destiny drama, about Destiny being a sexual predator and sexually manipulative, about that whole Lauren Southerns and Destiny conspiracy. I have minus 1 respect for Destiny and people like him in this internet space, like holy hell if all that is true then Mr. Girl wa right all along, and the smearing campaign against him was unjust. Jesus Christ!

But anyways, back to analyzing this video:

I was a past viewer of this YT Channel, haven't seen his face until now, so I'll be analyzing his body language and tonality, maybe word choice, as he goes on a bit of a rant and gives commentary on the Berserk online Community recently, from the Berserk manga by Kentaro Miura:

An interesting video clip, a scientist who is in a podcast where the host talks to a variety of guests with UFO bias. This clip is a person who believes UFO's exists reacting and commentating, with the podcast host, of a video by some VFX or special effects expert, who doesn't believe in UFOs phenomena, trying to debunk a video of UFOs hovering around an airplane midflight. I'll be doing body language analysis, verbal analysis, discourse analysis and some statement analysis as to the deception and defensiveness from the debunker and the reactor and the podcast host, their word choice and tonality will also be noted:

Nico's intro, the VFX artist, lost of hand gesturing and head movement, camera for viewers is to his upper right, and his front is the monitor with the airplane with the UFOs. Between 1:02 to 1:05, lower left panel shows host with deep lib compression and suppressed frowning around mouth, likely withholding statements or trying not to smile or snicker in front of guest. Could be deceptive and may mean he knew VFX artist's video as you'll see host repeatedly tell guest to pay attention to video. Between 1:08 to 1:13 guest readjusts mic and mic stand, leans away from the film. Could be defensiveness creeping in non-verbally. Also around 1:12 to 1:15 Nico says 'I wanted to take a look at these shots.', quick follow up to 'Danny asked me to take a look at them and apply my visual effects artist's eye.'(This statement doesn't make sense, a minor contradiction because the subject Nico wanted to see this video, but then states Danny asked him tp apply his expertise and take a look, so which is it?), followed by left hand rolling up right hand sleeve, as if to non-verbally tell he's ready to 'get his hands dirty', to 'get to work with these hands.' like he's showing his confidence in himself a bit as a VFX artist expert.

An interesting take by Max Karson, AKA Mr. Girl, and his take on the Israel/Palestine conflict, Elon Musk's comment and a bit on Lex Fridman. I am going to analyze his body language and tonality to see if he's genuine or not, or if there's any stress or not:

This video contains all the classic body language signs of defensiveness in mannerisms, facial expressions. I'll be analyzing his body language, tonality, and some of his word choices. Prior context: He's reacting/responding to his situation of YouTube blocking his comments on other YT videos:

So throughout the video his baseline includes lots of self grooming and pacifying gestures, left hand grooming his hair on left side and rubbing his mouth and chin, and sometimes his right hand rubs left cheek to left a lot. Typically self soothing gestures indicates distress or subconscious seeking of relief from stress. Given his prior context of getting shadow banned or even canceled/censored in Instagram and YT comments, and that he's disabled/handicapped(Given his tonality sounding nasally, which makes me feel before that he's in the autistic spectrum/Asperger's syndrome, but later he reveals he had a head injury as well). Also a lot of lip retraction, sometimes lip compression, and clenching of jaw back and forth in combination indicates him processing stress and strong levels of disappointment/disapproval, and being defensive about this situation. Also, lots of lip retraction and jaw clenching/masticating can also mean he's stressful with what he's saying. Also micro 'epistemic shrugs' with small mouth frowns and in some of those lots of self grooming that hand, either left or right, goes palms facing up in a hand gesture of 'I don't know', which indicates he could be feeling uncertainty/uncomfortableness/anxiety in regards to the shadow banning.

A great video of Daniel Schmachtenberger, Iain McGilchrist and John Vervaeke talking about the meta crisis. In this perspective I'll be analyzing their body language, tonality, pacing, discourse analysis and some statement analysis when appropriate. I'll also look at presentation style, what they value and the framing of talking about the Meta crisis. After watching the whole video and it's clips I felt it's worth going through it a few more times:

Credit to @Carl-Richard for this summery of the video and each person's framing of this situation:

'The overlap between their worldviews and their ways of conceptualizing "the crisis" ("the meta-crisis", "the meaning crisis", "the master and the emissary"). Daniel has a social/economic/game-theoretic focus, John has a psychological and philosophical focus, and Ian has a psychological, philosophical and neuroscientific focus. They talk about meaning and how it is not reducible to purpose (you also have coherence, flow and mattering), how the modern/post-modern world developed a reductionist materialist worldview and moved away from the sacred, how it can be understood by looking at hemispheric lateralization in the brain (left vs. right), the need to steward catastrophic technologies and the power games related to that, and many other variations on those questions. They seem to be converging on the need to create an updated form of religion.'

Now let's look at their body language and tonality, and the discourse:

Destiny himself addresses the current situation of him divorcing Melina. Am going to analyze his body language, tonality, and word choices in communicating his side of this souring relationship. Also @Carl-Richard, if you're watching this video some commentary is good because I remember you commented about Destiny and Mr. Girl situation:

So similar to the body language and communication of the other video titled 'Destiny Addresses Lav Allegations And Exposes M.r Girl', except here throughout there's a lot more edits and jump cuts, especially the first few minutes is suspicious because much later we see an accident that Destiny has on the desk and that isn't edited. Also a lot of touching the mic stand and the mic, fidgeting. Similar to the other video I believe he's distressed given the context of divorce, and that in his view his wife has cheated on him(Check the Destiny and Brittany fallout, similar reactions, Destiny hates betrayals that he perceives).

A great video containing all classic signs of defensiveness and disappointment, and lots of self soothing and pacifying gestures. I'll be doing a general body language, verbal, discourse and statement analysis of the three, and point out some signs of defensiveness and disappointment:

So throughout, the woman in the middle nervous laughs and other signs of nervousness. to her left, or video's left, is the black guy which has the most energy of the 3, lots of facials and gestures, and displays more upsets and emotional tone than the 2, and the white guy on right does try to match the black guy's tonality and energy, but is lesser. Generally, when The Game says a bar they disagree with, they're faces scrunch up, tense a bit, and we do see eyebrow flashes followed sometimes by hands palm up signifying confusion and the 'epistemic shrug' feeling the following of uncertainty, anxiety and uncomfortableness. Confusion also did show in some of their faces and mannerisms, which to me means they don't get some of the slang and the references The Game is making about Eminem AKA Slim Shady.

Between 19:05 to 20:40, we see a huge spike in body language from the guy on left, visibly upset and angry, raised voice and projection, more tension on face and fast karate chops with his left hand on that snitch line, displaying astonishment, followed by nervous smiling and head shakes from the woman and the other white guy who also reacted with lots of lip compressions, rocking on chair, head shaking, and brief moments of hand covering mouth. After that timestamp the 3's defensive body language and tonality worsens and the guy on left no shakes his head and does blocking/shielding with his hands covering his face and looks down in shame and disappointment, the other 2 would mirror partly this defensiveness.

Claiming they're partly biased to Eminem and trying to downplay it and fake an objective tone and framing, but most of the video they're emotionally hurt, disappointed and negatively thinking/feeling, being defensive and dogmatic which then clouds their self awareness and makes them even more biased. Like they complain that the Game was taking too long, dissing others like 50 cent or Dr. Dre instead of Eminem, but they downplay and let Eminem slide with the same tactics of dissing the target rapper but his other artists and companies, and parts of mainstream culture, which is hypocritical. I suggest you watch it and observe their body language and tonality. In comparison and contrast to me, even though I'm an Eminem fan I remain objective and check my biases, and do my own homework on other rappers and their catalogues, see what they're capable of, and respect rap battling and diss tracks as an artform. I even know some slangs and rap sayings here and there, which makes their reaction to 'I unpack the heat with my oven mitts.' a slang for unpacking a gun and shooting someone, and their reaction to that line as  a hook is just sad. Little commentary about how nice and fire the music beat was, and little fairness towards The Game and how he written his lyrics and bars, no thoughtful commentary. This is why I consider this a great example of immaturity, and it's embarrassing it's a YouTube video of reactors, which means there's some editing, which means they had chances to self reflect and see their own stupidity.

I'll be doing a body language and tonality analysis, discourse and some statement analysis of this interview between Black Pegasus two guy interviewers and Ren. Context, this is a podcast video, they reached out to interview Ren the then and somewhat now trending singer/rapper/guitarist(II personally don't care if he's from Whales or UK, am indifferent to his music style as it's whack and corny AF!):

Instantly manipulative thumbnail and video title. I'm noticing a marketing trend in videos on, big fonts capitalized but with the use of yellow colour, like what are we advertising and marketing here? Colour theory? Piss? Also unprofessional cropping and editing of their performative facial pictures and inserting themselves in Ren's fish and chips shop, like I already feel a bit from them trying to manipulate me into someway. Not a good start. General body language of guy on right, the black guy, is good expressions and good performative facials and hands, but something about his laugh, and his word choices about being a father or having a daughter, or other words just feels fake a bit, he keeps on using buzzwords and virtue signals using Stage green values. Guy on the left is a bit less fake and performative, but more subdued and 'stoic'. Also more using of hands to illustrate, and just like guy on right guy on left using a lot of buzzwords and a lot of emotive language which feels off. Generally speaking I feel from both interviewers performative PR.
