Body language analysis is a thing to study. megathread

169 posts in this topic

This video between Brittany Simon and Destiny bridge falling is INSANE TO ANALYZE! Not only do I detect a bit more deception on parts when he's overreacting here and there, but mostly defensiveness based on his body language and tonality and word choices and I will later timestamp on some parts of my analysis. Similar to Brittany's takes on SNEAKO, which I will review their body language later to see if there's some genuine connections there or not:

In a general conclusion, Destiny is very immature, very defensive around topics of relationships, may be interpreting SNEAKO the internet persona in bad faith, and not separating that to the real life SNEAKO, which is classic ego projecting 101, because Destiny is an internet persona made by Steven Bonnet the 3rd, Destiny the internet persona and BRAND lasting for 12 YEARS!!! Please don't tell me that he CONVENIENTLY FORGOT THAT HE'S PROJECTING HARD AF HERE!!!

Two good body language analysis videos of Spiky guy:

and

I'm not one of those that speculated what she saw was a shape shifter/alien/ghost or what have you, but because of my life experiences, and other developmental factors, and spiritual/metaphysical experiences with the paranormal, which could bias my answer here, I do believe that she may have saw something that others just are not perceiving, or she may have had a mental break down. I generally agree with his analysis of her behaviors here, and the apology is mostly genuine. The big question still remains though, and that is what did she see to make her so fearful of her life?

Note, and disclaimer, that even when I said I believe, I actually don't believe in the supernatural or paranormal, I just happened to have survived a haunting experience in my childhood, survived here meant I nearly died from that experience, which then made my mind create justifications, which overtime plus energy and attention developed attachments that made spiritual, paranormal and topics related part of my belief system. Just as it may seem silly to ask if you believe or don't believe in bears existing or sharks existing which also makes bear/shark attacks possible because bears and sharks are nowadays self evident in nature and documentaries/movies and general public consciousness, those events can occur regardless of your believes in bears and sharks and the possibility of attack. Same in my case, despite the disparaging differences in metaphysics and epistemic frameworks that explains a ghost/spirit attacking versus a bear/shark attack. In this case, this body language expert is good in his field, but I do intuit that his meta programming, or his worldview/paradigm is similar to objectivists, scientists, rationalists, that he is simply making appeals to pathos/logos/ethos, and stringing fallacies to appeal to those identities and egos so as to not ruthful feathers, and to dodge the mental breakdown route to explain, or the spiritual route which he has to also explain, so he's dodging fields that are not familiar to him and wants to keep in his expertise which is fine.

This time, a clip I found, which I'll analyze, starting with the title and framing:

The problem here is we encounter a quick red herring. First thumbnail shows Matt Thomson, owner of SBG, center left looking down. Presentation wise not good, as looking down tends to mean submission and supplicative gesture, despite the context of him being it's owner. More troubling is the close ended question: DOES SBG PUT DOWN OTHER MARTIAL ARTS? Which is very different to the video's title: Does SBG Put Other Martial Arts Down? Which then is drastically different from the next few seconds of the video, showing in bold white: Why does SBG seem to put other martial arts down? The problem with these three versions of the same loaded question, first two close ended, last third open ended, is that it gives, statement wise, the intense feeling of floundering, of pivoting and goal post changing.

0:11 universal sign of contempt on his left cheek, very telling which usually means the following in ratio to context of tonality and verbal: Contempt, strong disapproval, negative, or showing moral/intellectual superiority feeling. This sign comes up after his opening statement, followed by two fingered quoting(illustrating signs, emphasis) "another art down", to then say "which people often worry about", then sign of contempt or intellectual/moral superiority creeps in.

Here is how eye direction tells what part of the brain a person is using:

Thanks for the share! I also study some NLP myself and can confirm those eye direction cues are consistent with what the person's mode of thinking is. Just in context to say streamers or when multiple people are there, and I partly agree with Behavioral art Spidey, they could also be looking at a direction, or something caught their eye and their eye looks to what visual caught it's attention, so I don't jump the conclusion that they could be lying or deceiving. I more specifically say instead that they are accessing that part of the brain that constructs visuals/auditory/feelings and memories of visuals/auditory/kinesthetics or feelings, that may closely relate to the last three word choices and/or statements made a few seconds before or after.

I gotta say, so far from me, this one good example when comedy goes and crosses that line of personal attacks. Also, general body language from both is defensive, mostly from Whitney Cummings especially micro expressions of anger or hate, although hard to say given the Botox or cosmetic surgery on her face. Andrew vs Whitney was half joking, but I felt venom, like ages joking and marriage and sex joking...that felt like an aggressive fight of reframes, and jousting between the two verbally and non-verbally.

To learn body language, it's important not to read about body language just by books, though it can help.

First one has to engage kinisthetically with the body. If you wanna understand a musician, be a musician yourself, if you wann understand a boxer, be a boxer yourself.

Best way to learn body language.

No certain 'eye position' 'feet position' studies will help us understand a person. Life isn't that simple. The world is too complex to reduce certain body languages to axioms.

Two ways. One has to be so good with body language as if Leonardo Da Vinci sees another painting and he will be able to analyze it better than any fraudulent curator. Read body language as if Kobe Bryant can read the opponent's next move just by looking at someone's eyes.

The second way, one has to be able to analyze another person's words as if Oscar Wilde may read another person's writing and will be able to analyze it 100 times better than anybody else. And how Sherlock would analyze a scene scientifically step by step, not by axioms, but by his complex understanding of an evidence. His understanding didn't come from his meditation techniques, it came from years of careful study and diligence.

These two ways is the best way to understand body language. Constant practice, but also with book studying, both need incorporation for careful analysis.

I agree with everything you said but one caveat...studying= meditation. Paying attention, concentration, IS meditation. So secretly the key to the intuitive understanding you are discussing is done through careful observation, and focused attention at those particular things which develops a high level intuitive understanding, or knowing of that particular thing.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Body language is extremally valuable to study and master.

I recommend this book. Then you go out and socialize and read people. It is fun.

I find this video interesting, a debate between John Mearsheimer and the two NATO representatives.

I find the Carl guy interesting, don't know if his reddening skin is from building anger or frustration at the professor arguing for the Russian side, I note some lip compression and licking, strong indications of stress more so than lying. Also when John was speaking, the camera did a quick cut to Carl and he is giving John that mile long stare. Now in body language a stare indicates that you're a threat or that person finds you unbelievable, it's another giveaway of being skeptical and doubting the other person. If you don't doubt and are skeptical of the other person, and you trust them or have a shared social connection, staring is far less likely at that trust worthy person as subconsciously and non-verbally you and the other are in the same wavelength. When you distrust and doubt the other person or their story, you'll likely stare at them, eye to eye or at their direction, with some tension on the face. Also lots of gesturing and emphasis with his hands and forced volume or projection on certain words.

Cicilia is far more aggressive with her facial expressions, some jutting of the chin, emphasizing some words, tonality strong in certain words. I can conclude generally that both speakers don't like John and dealing with a person who appears pro Russia is like dealing with the devil to them, so lots of defensive non verbals and tensions.

The long awaited body language analysis and verbal analysis of Mr. Girl. Before that, here's my short conclusion of my analysis of Destiny's side of this drama here:

Destiny is mostly distressed and defensive.

Likelihood of deception is high, considering the rubbing of nose and blocking/shielding of the face when mentioning Mr. Girl and certain charged words.

Destiny has sociopathic traits, which also increases likelihood of deception. Moments of performative emotion or performative anger. Feels very fake.

Destiny's framing and narrative control is manipulative, and not matter of fact reporting, but titling his video 'Destiny addresses Lav allegations and exposes Mr. Girl.' due to statement analysis.

Questionable intro to video about a serious topic like Destiny being accused of sexually abusing younger female streamers, sexually manipulating them. about several minutes in and Destiny states 'I'm going to be more candid in my impressions now.' already confesses that Destiny wasn't as honest or straightforward to the viewers, which implies deception early on.

The normal, decent moral thing to do, is to take Mr. Girl to court and sue for slander and defamation, but  Destiny instead turns this into another content making opportunity instead is deeply immoral. I also find him threatening to shut down Mr. Girl's website, as if to hold his website hostage, is even more immoral. Honestly lost all respect for Destiny as a human being, and now believe far likely he's an actual sociopath. You can't have it both ways, or all ways, when you decide to narrative control and story tell this drama instead of factually reporting what happened. Sorry, no matter how you 'become even more candid with your impressions now', you are lying and smearing this person.

As the idiom goes 'truth tellers tell, deceivers sell.'.

Without further ado, here's Mr. Girls side of this story:

https://fb.watch/mY9o13n7HL/

So already, first 10 minutes a lot of lip compressions followed by some lip retractions and instinctive gulping. These non-verbals are strong indications of distress and nerves. Also often furrowing brows, which means the following: frustration, anger, confusion, concentration/focus. In context, likely the eye brow furrows are more concentration with few moments of confusion, and when Destiny is brought up and his 'sexual abuse', eye brow furrows also followed by micro expression of the universal emotion of disgust and maybe anger. Also lots of verbal and some non-verbal internal processing, lots of 'um's and lots of sentence changing. Now in body language analysis part of detecting lies is partly looking for incongruent verbal to non-verbals, especially for internal processing. However, I intuit that his cognitive processing is more the stress and betrayal of Destiny discrediting him rapidly and thinking about the sexual abuse topic. A comparable example is when someone is grieving and they're still processing, cognitively, psychologically and emotionally the loss of the loved one, well, I get that similar vibe from the first 10 minutes of Mr. Girl's, AKA Max Kharson's story telling of his side of this issue.

This one's really good, look and observe the body language and tonality of the speakers. This is also why I don't like skeptics or atheists or those who deeply value rationalism too much, as it creates this hubris and aloofness and that arrogance and moral/intellectual superiority that makes open minded dialogue and humility difficult to do because the perspective is close minded and dogmatic in it's position and not open to correction or willingness to learn from an oppositionary point of view or even a different point of view:

   The definition of arguing:

gerund or present participle: arguing

1.

give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view.

"sociologists argue that inequalities in industrial societies are being reduced"

2.

exchange or express diverging or opposite views, typically in a heated or angry way.

Here's another video that shows Destiny's behavior and tonality, especially towards someone he was friends with but had a big drama that was emotionally charged, and some bad things were said between the two that this is worth analyzing too:

Very interesting, found a video of a time when body language was not widely known, of a 1950's housewife before and after taking LSD. Let's analyze her body language and tonality before and after:

   Before LSD:

So couple of minutes in, she's exhibiting signs of nervousness, tonally between 0:27 to 0:29 saying 'normal people.' in nervous unsure tone, with a few seconds before and following shifting of hands, arms, and legs, to me modal shifting which is typical when trying to shift from one state of being into another, in this case she's trying to shift away from nervousness into something else. Also interesting to look at their crossed legs, her' is pointing towards to the interviewer, while he's pointing away. At 0:31 to 32, she says 'I volunteered.', with head movement emphasizing that, twice tilt shaking her head backwards, followed by nervous snicker or smile and looking down, feels like she's more reserved. Fidgeting with left finger on armchair, nervous laughter and looking down cast at interview's question of 'Do you think you're normal?', again baseline and consistent with signs of defensiveness and nervousness. Between 0:41 to 1:04, with Psychologist's leading question, she did a lip compression/smile compression when he said the word 'stable' 'I can assure you that you're STABLE. A well balanced person as a result of the TESTS.' and here she did a micro lip compression/retraction, and dry swallowing, which is signs of increasing stress, followed by downcast eyes again, in NLP this is accessing feelings, it could be feelings of shame. When psychologist, between 1:00 to 1:04, she shifts her eyes upwards, visualizing pictures in memory and constructed, followed by looking left and right horizontally recalling sounds. At 1:06 when she's saying 'I'm a little, I'm a little NERVOUS perhaps.' micro expression of contempt or moral/intellectual superiority with her left face smirking briefly, I feel more contempt than the later, followed by an eyebrow flash likely to emphasize the nervous word, or seeking social approval.

   After LSD:

She appears almost the exact opposite of her baseline and character. She's now more expressive with her hands, a lot of looking around her environment than the psychologist, looking around the room. Little critique of the psychologist but I wished this person stops asking leading questions and just ask more neutral worded questions like 'what is happening?', 'what do you see?', 'what do you feel?', and the reason why is because she's in such a different state of consciousness and mind that leading statements or questions have much more of an effect in her internal processing, so it's incredibly important to as much as possible minimize or stop injecting bias into the questions/statements.

Here's another video from Brand, a second one that Observe guy just covered beforehand. Will be doing a body language analysis, verbal, and statement analysis of the video and his communication here:

Badly titled video, as if the 'So...' means anything significant, maybe 'So what?' is a much better title because he does not bring up the rape allegations at all and now goes into full on anti mainstream narrative talking points. This time he wears up a pure white shirt(reminds me of the Colleen apology video and other videos of narcissists and manipulators wearing the white shirts to appear pure and innocent.) to give a 'purity' meaning onto himself, clastic manipulation tactic to manipulate a western audience to associate the viewer with white purity and innocence, along with a more dimmer light setting in comparison to his other video covered by Observe guy. Now we see a cleaner, more controlled synchronized body language and tonality throughout, especially with his hands.

Beforehand I had an intuitive feeling he may be guilty of raping some women in his past, but now it feels pretty clear to me he's guilty, the question then becomes when will they pursue a legal case against him?
