Yeeeah, about that... Here is an illuminating piece about Dmitry Utkin, whose call sign "Wagner" gave "The Wagner Group" its name (text in Russian, use Google Translate). The guy is as neo-nazi as they come. However, this doesn't mean that this is the prevalent ideology of the group - their only ideology is, of course, making money by doing what they enjoy and are good at - which is violence. And, obviously, such job description attracts certain kinds of stage Red/Blue folks.

It's pseudo-membership based on stupid motives.
Their leader looks like a Near Eastern, the majority of their members are non-white people like Siberians or Chetechene. It is also a group of mercenaries who fight for a multiracial and cosmopolitan nationalist state, they fought alongside Kadirov before the pseudo rebelion of Prigozhin.
It makes no sense.

The coup is canceled.

Prigozhin said that all his 25 000 men are ready to die and they will go to Moscow and kill everyone who stand in their way. They shot down at least 1 russian chopper. Putin held a speech to the nation, he said all the traitors will get punished etc., martial law was declared, defenses in Moscow and on the roads to Moscow was set up, at least one oil depot was blown up, etc.

But when Wagner was right next to Moscow, Prigozhin said "Nah nvm, I'm going back."
