Difficult path vs easy one

The video about Maturity:

Quote

a mature person will choose the more difficult path because it's what makes achieving a goal feel worth it

Why did you, Leo, in the past choose to become a game designer with nice salary as opposed to a toilet cleaner for pennies?

Nowadays, why are you selling your courses, or whatever you're making money as, as opposed to working in McDonalds or Starbucks?

A low paying job in McDonalds, Starbucks or as a toilet clearner would still allow you to work on Actualized, smoke 5meoDmt and contemplate. However, it would've made all this more difficult, hence, more worth it and a new win would've been more rewarding.

How dare are you Leo to have chosen an easier path? How dare?

Otherwise, your video lacks a nuance :D

Because it's in contradiction with his values.

He might still take the more difficult path when it comes to his highest values.

What values? How does it precisely? Cleaning toilets doesn't hurt anyone, directly or indirectly. Nice job.

Why do talk on Leo's behalf?

You almost got it, the harder path is actually the easy one and the easy path is actually the harder one.

>Counterintuitive Nature Of Reality

Have a go!

"Why has Leo chosen an easier path" -> "Because an easier path is in reality a harder one" -> "Who says so?" -> "Leo, in his yet another video, about Paradox"
Why is that then true? -> Because Leo says so.

Circular proof. You quote Leo as he was a prophet and you were a peasant.

From my personal perspective you underestimate the amount of effort and work that is put into those videos and Actualized in general. We barely see the surface of the work Leo does. Working in McDonalds is easier than creating your own path. Even check the platform we're now discussing in. It was created/designed/envisioned by Leo in some form and now there's hundreds of people on it.

Developing your life purpose out of nothing is the hardest thing to do, and if it was easy, you'd see everyone around you doing it rather than working and scrolling on their phones.

Even the amount of mental discipline required to do it is underrated. You're not required to even think much doing burgers.

I'd question that.

In some sense -- yes.

However, one makes way more money from creating videos than from cleaning toilets. Provided that videos are of good quality and in demand by some people. And in case of the videos one creates leverage, assets, earn money even during sleep.

Cleaning toilets doesn't give you any leverage, recognition, doen't build brain mussle, doesn't give moral contenment. Shitty job.

Which of the 2 jobs is then easier ? Or better? And which is more difficult?

So Leo has chosen an easier job or activity. But in his video about Maturity he claimed that one, if one is mature, shouldn't seek easier ways.

on the path, we embrace the difficult means we don't seek short cuts and quick fixes

it doesn't mean we are dumb and torture ourselves without reason by taking the crappest job

having some comfort is okay and in fact the path is treacherous enough

so be kind be gentle be easy on yourself

give yourself every advantage every benefit every convenience possible

this is maturity
