How to deal with threats of police while approaching?

15 posts in this topic

Okay this one is confusing to me.

I don't know if I am extremely unlucky or what is going on here, but I have been getting girls threatening to call the police on me just by merely walking up and saying hi.

There is no way I can be that threatening. I am so confused by this. I don't know if it is their way of exerting control over the situation, but it is really annoying.

What do I do? I am wondering if this is just a shit test.

I'd say if you're wondering if this is a shit test, there is something creepy about you. Merely saying hi not even sorry and or excuse me etc. Is odd in most countries. I never had this happen they often offered me drinks when I did not drink, do you introduce yourself or just stand there and say hi?

Even just admitting I was nervous gave me a better response and numbers. I am not a pro, and I barely did any game, yet it seems socially very uncalibrated.

If you'd be internally more tempered, there is no way this can happen and you most likely over force the situation. Best game guys I have seen are very smooth, and nothing happens like this besides they see you as a creep maybe for doing this, which can be normal as barely anyone does this.

Where are you approaching women? Don’t approach at night, or in a place where she can’t easily leave

how are you approaching? Make eye contact before you approach, don’t approach from behind. Make sure you smile, you can hold both your hands up and give a statement of empathy “sorry to interrupt/bother you” and statement of what you are doing “I was just <walking over here/looking for a coffee place/exploring this> but I wanted to say —“

This is not the norm. Obviously I have not witnessed every experience there is to witness, but I have never done this, none of my gfs have ever done this, nobody I've known in my life has ever told me they've done this, I've dated a few cops in my life and none has ever told me this has ever happened. You are not telling the whole story. Even if you look like Jack the ripper just saying hi to a female isn't going to make her threaten to call the cops. Please be more specific, if you would like proper advice. This is silly.

There have been cases in the UK of young men being arrested for talking to women on campus at university. It's unusual but believable in 2023. I find women today just avert their gaze dramatically if they have zero interest rather than making a scene.

if you are getting the police called on you, you are clearly doing something wrong, maybe its because you're trying to force conversation and not letting it be natural, not following any social cues; also why dont you try and approach in situations where people actually go to socialise or are in a nice relaxed environment where they are not running about their day. I want to add threatening to call the police is just a deterrent to get you to back off they arent going to do it unless you continue to harass them, just back off, if its in a non social environment they dont know what your intentions are and it can be scary

It's probably where you are doing it. Try talking to girls in places where being sociable is more normal, if you are getting girls threatening to call the police in those places then there is something really wrong.

Common pickup advice can make it seem like jumping straight to daygame (approaching in malls and streets during the day) is the best option for guys who suck with girls, when really this is quite an advanced thing and what you need to work on are your basic social skills.

Once you can talk to girls in naturally sociable places then you can move on to doing it in places where it is less socially acceptable and you need more confidence/charm to pull it off.

I saw that you've mentioned that you're from Philadelphia in your bio. What I've heard from other sources is that the women there are really harsh and masculine. I don't know for sure, this is rumor as far as I've heard.

If that's true, I'd suggest that you move to cities that have a better reputation. Maybe Sedona, Arizona, maybe Boulder, Colorado, maybe even Vegas.

@Princess Arabia It is 'harsh and masculine' to call the government to essentially gang up on a guy saying 'hi'. It's a violent move. You're asking for him to be brutalized by the police.

Harsh and masculine only means less reason to call the cops because you can handle the situation on your own especially if its just a "hi" like he stated. Philadelphia is very crime ridden and people there are dealing with real crime; not a guy approaching and saying hi. The cops there would laugh at the women for that kind of call.

They would definitely put the guy on a watch-list, though. Especially if it's a rough area and people think your behavior is suspicious.

Tell him to come to Jersey where the tomatoes are vine ripened and ready to be picked and where the cops are all under 21 and eat donuts and drink coffee all day and walk up and down the boardwalk sight-seeing on scooter bikes waiting for the next overdose call. He'll be safe picking up girls here.

So, you want the cops to have the time to come running when a crazy woman calls them on a guy approaching her?!

Ma'am, this is not funny. Lives get ruined because of naive behavior like this. Joking about this is almost as offensive to us, as a guy making rape-jokes. It's also offensive to actual victims of sexual harassment. It makes a mockery of their fight for justice.
