Doesn't over seriousness become a trap?

Well, you have to be serious. Let's see, here and now the reality is, in it's infinite depth. are we going to be surfing on the surface of deception? craziness. We have to fully open ourself to the truth, now. is not easy! Why? This is what we have to understand. a fascinating game, but it has to be played seriously

When you experience yourself imagining an Alien Mouse doing cartwheels right in front of your face, it’s hard to be serious at that point. In fact it becomes the greatest joy you can possibly conjure up.

Being uptight and super serious will not reveal an Alien Mouse.

And, no, I’m not just parroting Leo’s Alien Mouse experience. I legitimately experienced it a few nights ago.

I AM false

Spiritual practice is more diverse than you imply.

Ramana Maharshi, and most other masters, recognize that the ideal spiritual path varies from person to person. The superior path is whatever takes you inward, and varies according to the psyche and circumstances of the individual.

All the yogas - karma, jnana, bhakti and raja - are just different paths to suite different natures with different modes of evolution. They are all aimed at getting people out of the long-cherished notion that they are different from the Self.

Yoga enjoins repression of thoughts whereas I prescribe quest of oneself. This latter method is more practicable. The mind is repressed in swoon, or as the effect of fasting. But as soon as the cause is withdrawn the mind revives, that is, the thoughts begin to flow as before. There are just two ways of controlling the mind. Either seek its source, or surrender it to be struck down by the supreme power. Surrender is the recognition of the existence of a higher overruling power. If the mind refuses to help in seeking the source, let it go and wait for its return; then turn it inwards. No one succeeds without patient perseverance.

- Ramana Maharshi

M: If you have no problem of suffering and release from suffering, you will not find the energy and persistence needed for self-inquiry. You cannot manufacture a crisis. It must be genuine.

Q: How does a genuine crisis happen?

M: It happens every moment, but you are not alert enough. A shadow on your neighbor's face, the immense and all-pervading sorrow of existence is a constant factor in your life, but you refuse to take notice. You suffer and see others suffer, but you don't respond.

- Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

the direct path of self enquiry is a lofty bar for many; here is what the 14th Dalai Lama says:

Quote

[Awakening may] require intensive practice of preliminaries to cleanse the mind of negative potential and build up the positive potential enabling us to identify the conventional and deepest natures of the mind. “Mind” refers to our individual, subjective mental activity. We can only recognize its conventional nature as “mere clarity and awareness” from personal meditative experience in quieting down our thoughts. Once we have gained a stilled and settled state of concentration on this conventional nature of mental activity, we need to distinguish mental activity from the objects of that activity and the person, “me,” as its agent. None of the three has independent existence that can be established by some findable nature on its own side. Having attained total absorption on the void nature of the mind, we need to subsequently recognize and understand that the deceptive appearances of self-established existence that our mental activity gives rise to are like an illusion. They do not correspond to how anything actually exists.

@gettoefl That's correct. Meditation is the subtractive practice of withdrawing from the conditioned mind. It distances awareness from thoughts, revealing them to be phenomenal distractions rather than absolute.

Meditation brings you to the inner gate, but only direct realization passes you through the gate to the other shore. People misconstrue awakening as an ecstatic phenomenal experience, but it is beyond phenomena. It is the seamlessness of light resonating with light.

Jesus said the way is narrow and few people find it, and he was right. Not because it is so deeply hidden, but because the cost of passing through it is perceived to be too high.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

Yes, you have to let go the control. It is extremely difficult because control is a fundamental part of our human nature, that's is why let it go is not something that can be done at will, its the result of a trajectory .

Bingo, also when death comes into your rooms you better be serious ‘as the persons’ death has come to remove. If not you will spend another day in ignorance.

I like what moojiji said, “don’t give your self the freedom to spend another day in ignorance”

found in this silent sitting video

if it is not in this one it is in the other Easter silence sitting.

Letting go of control comes with practice, but it is terrifying, and runs contrary to the survival instinct. It's like a stunt performer jumping from a tall building, and rolling with the momentum to reduce impact. Most of us would stiffen our legs to control the fall, and break them in the process.

Most of the suffering we experience in life comes from trying to control our environment to suit our needs. Instead of allowing them to be as they are, we manipulate our loved ones, the opinions of others, and even our beliefs to make us feel safe. Every reaction creates an equal and opposite reaction, and only damages us further.

When you let life flow through you, instead of placing conditions on it, you surrender the need for control and realize absolute love. If you want to be free, stop fighting, stop thinking, stop demanding, and simply flow.

If you are genuinely enlightened could send me a private message.

Please don’t message me if your not enlightened as I won’t be taking any of your advice. I will be able to tell very quickly due to my questions. You can’t take someone to a higher level only the level you are on.

I would like to ask some questions and would like some guidance. Preferably over the phone or audio communication. Maybe Setting up a regular-ish thing every few times a weeks or months.  If you feel that it might not gonna be worth the time (as in i’m not a genuine seeker) give me it a short while and I assure you I will prove I am Dead serious. My seriousness is so strong that it will kill the false abiding within this body.

You can schedule a call with Shinzen Young. That's the best bet for classical enlightenment, otherwise there are so many maps. That certainly helps to some level, yet with highly technical questions, this is your best bet for classical enlightenment, as well as all who are into this practical domain Daniel Ingram etc.

I usually went there once a year to get feedback and guideance for my training. I stopped due to other stuff.
