Reminds me of The Oasis from the book Ready Player One which they made into a movie. Pretty good.

Not to mention the measly 2 hour battery life. It’s fine for now since it can be used all-day plugged in, but more apps will come out that will encourage you to be untethered and walk around the real world environment (lol).

For example, I’m imagining apps that help people while cooking or doing DIY home repairs.

Furthermore, 2 hour battery life won’t fly when these headsets become a standard in school and office environments.

Finally, Apple showed people using the headset while on a plane as well as just casually hanging out with family members. No way can you watch a full movie on a plane without being plugged in, and no way do I want to have to constantly plug myself into a wall outlet while I’m hanging out with real humans.

You can plug it into an extra battery and wear the battery on your back like an oxygen tank.

Just read about that. Let's see how it evolves in a few years.

Remember that the headset is a first generation product with impressive technology. A 4K TV for each eye! That its battery life lasts 2 hours is understandable.

Zuckerberg is not dismissing the iVision the way Ballmer did the iPhone. He has a nuanced take on it:

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

More pixels than a 4K TV for each eye.

I wonder how Apple will make this work for people with only one eye.

They need to be waterproof so that you can use It in an isolation tank. And then control the movement with your eyes and brain waves or maybe finger micro movements

That would be trippy AF.

You could make the dopest slow paced story games, like from telltale.

@mmKay And maybe you’ll also be able to wear them in space when the Apple Vision Pro X comes out!

Enthusiasts are already working on all kinds of stuff thanks to the toolkit.

Customers can save up $2000 for a Mac and finally become serious gamers.

Probably Neuralink will kill all VR industry in the future.

You just need a chip on your brain and a file to go wherever you want…

Hardware = Brain

Why didn't they call it the iEye?

Missed opportunity right there.

Same question for Google Glass rather than Googley Eyes.

Ugh, marketing...
