Somehow I feel this won't catch up the way Google Glasses didn't. It looks stupid and it is not something people will talk about to others because well....it looks stupid 

The idea is great but basically what we're looking at is a bigger plasma screen and a new way to watch porn and play video games. Hard to say if that will be enough to justify. Sounds like Apple is trying to dominate the VR market as well. 

At that price tag even hardcore applegeeks will have hard time justifying the cost considering it is not something you can wear in an office. 

If they can give it a stylish near Ray-Ban type of look that people will be proud to wear outdoors, it may catch up. Unless they can create an entire culture around looking like a Scuba diver in an office being somehow the new thing the samw way their air buds caught up because people were not shy to use them around others

Amazing technology. Apple has essentially created its form of schizophrenia. 

Probably very useful for certain people and situations. 

But for me? No, thank you. I prefer fucking my concubines in person to fucking them via Apple schizophrenia.

I actually think it looks pretty sleek/cool. And it will probably have some good use-cases and killer apps.

It's just way too expensive to go mainstream. It has to cost at least half that price.

And even at that price it cannot be used for gaming.

Not to mention the measly 2 hour battery life. It’s fine for now since it can be used all-day plugged in, but more apps will come out that will encourage you to be untethered and walk around the real world environment (lol).

For example, I’m imagining apps that help people while cooking or doing DIY home repairs.

Furthermore, 2 hour battery life won’t fly when these headsets become a standard in school and office environments.

Finally, Apple showed people using the headset while on a plane as well as just casually hanging out with family members. No way can you watch a full movie on a plane without being plugged in, and no way do I want to have to constantly plug myself into a wall outlet while I’m hanging out with real humans.

Apple demonstrated being able to use the headset as a Mac Virtual Display. It connects to your Mac wirelessly, allowing you to expand and shrink your Mac display.

I wonder if this feature will work while playing macOS games. Even so, there aren’t many macOS games compared to Windows (although Apple is making improvements to gaming on Mac):

Shitty mobile games yes. But it doesn't do proper VR gaming.

That is the first design that is human, it is scary how far humanity is constructed by ideas in a sense when I see this I feel like assasin creed and someone encoded all of this into our reality. I like the device I never was interested in an apple product, besides for developing this looks interesting. 

It certainly looks interesting for work and design, and not gaming. I never saw apple as a gaming plattform, I hope nvidia or so does something cool. 

3.5k is not even much for american tech salary  , I don't know if it's everwhere so high, yet it's still a lot of money for a pair of googles . 

Also AR types of featured meditations. Curious if this technology will at one point be developed, for direct enlightenment experiences.

I see the potential in using this headset for psychedelic assisted therapy 10 years down the line.

Even ERP therapy will benefit. Expose patients to their fears in a safe and hyperrealistic way. They already use VR headsets for this purpose, but mixed reality headsets can take it to the next level.

Yeah, I hope they also focus on this without consistently focusing on dysfunctions, so regular people can use psychdelics as well as assited tools to alter the experience of consciouness and peaks. 

I bet this works well, as well as not and can be costly, when I use a vr-headset and I have a phobia of wasps, I would not know if I would not know if this fixes the problem I know even why, I dunno I bet it can work I got over the fear of bees, by simply beign open. I dunno I call wasps the a**holes of nature very aggressive for no reason. I wonder if this would fix it I would be open to give it a go. 

I hope there will be a few super applications that allow for growing consciouness etc. Doing a retreat like this could already be worth it and simple stuff. No idea how far out in the future brain-technology and ar could go.
