I posted this in Spirituality because this movie is a stunning example of recontextualization. If you want to understand what recontextualization really means watch this movie.

This is the second most horrifying movie I have ever watched (I know what I am saying and I watched a lot of horrifying stuff).

The most horrifying one is from the same director called Martyrs 2008

If those characters could speak to Pascal Laugier they would tell him he was Satan for creating such a terrifying world lol!!!

If those characters were on the forum they would make Holykael look like the most grateful happiest human!!! LOL.

Characters/Egos will always hate their life if they have to be attacked like that. 

But notice....the audience can eat popcorn and enjoy the experience...cause they don't need to worry about survival.

In fact....the audience can only understand that what is happening in the movie is evil, because they pray that shit would 

never happen to them. If that audience could never experience pain and suffering...you couldn't even scare them with all that!! As a result they would have no concept of what evil is. Need actual danger and stakes to construct evil as a concept.

 

Movies are a great spiritual practice to see why Self-Bias exists.

Also here is the hilarious part!!! Those characters...if they knew people were watching their lives and finding joy from their pain....they would call you sadists and monsters!!! So how humans feed their inner sadism, their joy in feeding off the pain of others is through movies and video games. It's a shadow of ours that we like to pretend doesn't exist!!! We hide it in plain sight!! 

Anyway you can become aware....that there is no difference between the supposedly fictional characters in the movie and the people you think are real in real life....and that can show you what you are doing right now as God. You are God enjoying the movie of your own life...even if it becomes a nightmare/shit show!!!

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!! 

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY. 

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

It takes a wise mind to create such horrors. Satan cannot create such things. Satan creates mediocre horrors. Only God can create the Horror.

Watching Such movies while training the mind not to resist the experience is a spiritual practice. Not taking sides, accepting the suffering and the pain of the characters, accepting their fate and the ending even if it is bad.

YES!!! I'm glad you see this!!! Yes movies can be a spiritual practice!!! I dare anyone to take a conscious altering substance, watch this movie with no resistance....good luck!! This can help you deal with your fear of death/impermanence!!! If only more people could think like you and be that creative!!! Keep it up!!!

Yeah, or you can something with a powerful Hallucinogen-effect and it can traumatize your separate-self vehicle for life-time, so that it never dares looking behind the veil ever again...
