It cant be difficult to do if you make a statement with such level of confidence, right?

Why are you being a dick all the time? People have perspectives and opinions that conflict with your own and there is at least partial truth to it. I'm also not making absolute statements about anything, I'm stating the results of my observations and experiences up to this point.

What is a "good practice" and what constitutes a "bad practice" in your mind?

Good: sleep, eating, exercise, sun exposure..., things that improve the system as a whole indirectly.

Bad: Things that only improve one metric directly and not the entire system, looks good on paper but are really a type of over fitting problem. Examples that can do this are Some supplements and medications, possibly ice baths, hormonal manipulation with breathing... things like that.

What do you mean by directly alter?

Please show us 1 supplement from his list and how it directly influences one of the measured biomarkers.

Nicotinamide Riboside 375mg (6 x wk), altering his NAD score with this supplement he stated made the largest impact on his biological age assessment.

It seems good on paper and he likely made improvements but when personally experimenting trying this and observing others who try this the results are deceptive. The feed back from tests can be wrong because and you feel worse yet on paper it looks better! In his case hes doing so many things all at the same time that there is no telling what parts of it are good or bad.

So if he suddenly has a heart attack tomorrow you'll have a complete brain fuck recontextualization of the situation. you'll question everything he was doing. Ive had that brain fuck observing people so im just being skeptical.

Parts of what hes doing id definitely try like optimizing diet, sleep, exercise and stress with the aid of bio feedback/clinical testing but other parts ive already tried and it doesn't work out so simply.

His diet (if you can even use that word) is certainly interesting. Somewhat medium protein with a bit of additional protein pwoders, medium fat, very high plant, high fibre. I don't see much meat in there.

He is an absolute antioxidant and polyphenol freak!

This would have matched my assumption on what a longevity diet looks like (outside of the supplements and powders) You have to balance being strong as fuck in your youth (eating a lot of meat) with remaining healthy across the lifespan (eating predominantly plants) - antagonistic pleiotropy at its best.

I also wonder why he doesn't introduce more plant protein from stuff like tofu rather than eating powders and amino acids, maybe he is worried about the ageing of his GIT tract

Breakfast: Super Veggie

  • Broccoli, 250 grams
  • Cauliflower, 150 grams
  • Spinach, 70 grams
  • Shitake or Maitake Mushrooms, 50grams
  • Black lentils, 300 grams
  • Garlic, 1 clove
  • Ginger Root, 3 grams
  • Lime Juice, 1
  • Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 Tbsp
  • Hemp Seeds, 1 Tbsp
  • Flavored with NuSalt

Lunch: leafy greens, vegetables, berries, seeds and nuts

Dinner: Nutty Pudding (sweetened w/ 7g of Trehalose)

  • 50-100 mL Almond Milk
  • 2 Tbsp ground macadamia nuts
  • 2 tsp of ground walnuts
  • 1 tsp of ground flaxseed (seed that is ground into flour)
  • 1 Tbsp non dutched cocoa
  • 1 tsp (heaping)
  • 2 T chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 3 cherries
  • 2 oz pomegranate juice

Other

  • Olive Oil, 3 Tbsp (45mL)
  • Spermidine, as chlorella powder, 15g giving 13.5mg spermidine
  • Pea Protein
  • Collagen Peptides

@Michael569 Yes, He’s testing his protocol with a vegan bias.

He’s vegan but he also said that wants people to test the protocol with meat ?

Well obviously.

The whole point of what he is doing is that everything must be rigorously tested. You cannot just copy-paste his exact supplements and meal plan. This kind of thinking is exactly what Blueprint is meant to correct.

Granted that it’s possible his health could be a house of cards. But a heart attack or a

similar situation is highly unlikely given how well-monitored his health situation.

Heart attacks generally do not just happen out of the blue. They are the result of years of slow atherosclerosis. They only seem out of the blue for most people because we are not nearly as well-monitored as him.

If he was actually on the verge of a heart attack, his team would more than likely know. They already caught one timebomb with his jugular vein stenosis.

That’s why he has 30+ doctors.

They certainly have some idea what is good or bad. It’s not completely flying blind, even if it’s not perfect.

In his case, his paperwork is better and he feels better. So your point does not really hold.

Any thoughts on whether his caloric restriction is sustainable?

In my personal experiments with caloric restriction, I hit a wall eventually. It seems he is only able to maintain it through supplements and TRT.

I've experimented with most of the supplements on his list. Taking a supplement for a few days you can tell by listing to you body if its healthy or not for you. I'm currently taking non of the supplements I spend thousands of dollars buying because they make me feel worse. I find it hard to believe he can take all of them all at the same time and that works for his body.

The point I was making is by taking all does supplements and medication and doing everything all at the same time he cant tell what each one does in isolation. He could of added something harmful and have no idea because something else is overall compensating like coacao powered and other mood boosting methods.

That's fine to believe in the system like that, I don't think they are as capable as they think they are.

Ever thought about that your are giving yourself a placebo/nocebo effect?
If you dont think that's possible - how would you know that?

People used to ingest toxic amounts of arsenic because it "made them feel better" in the short run but of course is highly carcinogenic.
Ever taken an NSAID (Aspirin/Iburprofen)/Paracetamol or Cortison? You will feel noticabely better/healtier after taking those. Of course none of those meds are "healthy" per se in the long run.

You know what, fair point!
Maybe he does take some supplement that causes harm on its own or in combination - but what if thats not the case? Why would that even matter?
All he knows that his measurements improved and show exceptional health. Every organ is working perfectly fine, plus he feels incredibly healthy in his skin (he literally says that he never felt better physically/mentally). So his approach includes your paradigm, which is "listening to your body" PLUS the objective, third person measurement of markers and imaging.

If there really is some damage occuring somewhere, then it's hiding really well.

I dont see the problem there man.

That's from the perspective of your current life. You'd be surprised how easily you can adapt to new habits if you just try. I believe there are virtually no limits to what you can get used to.

It probably is as long as he compensates with multi-nutrient formulas. I don't really think we know as much about the long-term effects of IF as we think we do. For longevity, less is probably preferable to more as long as he can keep his muscle and bone density from wasting.

Any long-term diet where a person is losing muscle mass and bone mass will be cutting lifespan drastically.

Quotes that I love about the podcast:

  • "My main source of inspiration is having read hundreds of biographies. I love learning about people in their time and place that were able to work on impossibly hard things so talent is the ability to hit the target no one else can, GENIUS hits the target no one else can SEE and the majority of us in life, we play the games that society gives us so that's hitting the target. So currently social media followers. People like to play games where points can be kept and you can be compared to people and ranked. GENIUS is a different GAME, it's trying to find things that DON'T EXIST and you need to have stamina and fortitude to go out and pave your own path and do things that are not recognized, appreciated or valued even in your LIFETIME. So to me reading biographies is about people who do that. They really try to survey all of existence, they are somehow IMMUNE to their time and place and are able to see these things."
  • "So I like working with the concept of GEN ZERO of this idea that a group of humans walking into the future that is willing to divorce themselves from all human norms and customs."
