If love is the highest teaching, is metta meditation the highest spiritual practice?

As the title says, according to some of leos videos, LOVE (in all caps) is the highest teaching. As i understand it, metta is basically a form of meditation aimed at cultivating feelings of love, compassion and kindness towards others and yourself. I see a kind of similitude, perhaps the love that metta cultivates is not the same leo is talking about, but isnt it at least a step in the right direction?

"The highest spiritual practice" would be something that hurls you towards infinity and unity at the fastest speed. I don't think metta is that good for that. All spiritual practices towards God are towards Love, metta is just one of those practices.

If everything is already god then there is no highest nor lowest practice
