Question For Those Who WOKE UP

7 posts in this topic

How did it affect your life in a practical level?

Your motivation, ambition, discipline, earning money ability etc

I realized i am afraid of awakening because i don't want to lose the grip on day-to-day reality so i kind of backed off from all spiritual practices because of this.

I know, chop wood carry water, but in my explorations with psychedelics, lost my motivations, practical life became a mess, took years to recover.

I still want to realize stage orange goals like having sex, travel the world, making money etc.

Is awakening realizing all of this is a illusion or awakaning would help accomplish all of this since i would drop all uncessary delusions and ego fears?

Some people say that life just becames "easier", other seem to lose interest in life.

Please tell me what happened to you.

The more conscious I am (my state varies), the more motivated, disciplined, intelligent, creative, accepting, peaceful and authentic I am.

I find that being more awake & grounded in that state actually tightens your grip on day-to-day reality. You're literally MORE AWAKE. And day-to-day reality is, well... REALITY. That's what You're awake to, after all. And yes, life is much easier.

Note: here I'm talking about being more awake "soberly", as in not after intaking a drug. I'm pretty sure living from a state of being mindblowingly awake on LSD is not sustainable and yeah You do lose the grip on daily life. I recognize I'm making a distinction between sober and psychedelic-assisted awakening but well, to me sober awakenings have been the most grounded and allowing me to enjoy everyday life, so... sue me haha.

Nothing really changed.

I still have my desires and habits - good or bad.

If anything, psychological suffering is completely gone.

I have become addicted to just observing life, I am surprised at how little I noticed about life. I would definitely say if you still want to be an achiever go do that. Spirituality and truly awakening is counter to all that. But be careful, the more you gain financially and through relationships the more you have to let go to fully awaken.

It's harder for a rich person to awaken than someone of more modest means. It isn't impossible but harder because you are going to be more attached. Also the business world and moving up requires you to scheme, lie, and make justifications. So your self-deception is going to be tougher to unravel. In fact the biggest barrier to awakening is to overcome your own self-deception. Self-Deception is infinite intelligence pretending to be stupid, pretending to be a human. You have no idea how powerful self-deception is and how deeply rooted your delusion is.

Self-Deception is DESIGNED TO MAKE SENSE!!! It is deeply tied to pragmatism. God's level of pragmatism is completely indifferent and radical. The words I am typing cannot covey the radicalness of the love of God. Your ego cannot and will never agree to this, so it must surrender to PURE INSANITY. If you are too attached to being practical and being what you call a good person, you will never awaken. You must surrender morality and practicality. In fact if you think you need morality, you are disconnected from TRUTH because all your morality is really self-serving hypocritical bullshit tightly and neatly wrapped in a pragmatic sensible story.

My guilty pleasure is destroying said story but ehhhh I'm toning it down lol.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Pro-tip: don’t tell your significant other “I Am God”.

They will not approve of that statement, but they will still love you 9_9

I will pursue sober awakening and, maybe, a few trips here and there to see what's possible.
