How would one go about making AI his or her LP?

I'm IT already but more the business aspect of it (IT project management) and other IT subjects. Lately I have been fascinated about AI and I see huge potential. I believe it is the next bitcoin thing but I think AI will be much more explosive than bitcoin. Massive wealth and opportunities are coming in our direction and we are at the butt crack of dawn of it.

So how would I go about it? My first impulsion is this

• Learn the basics: algorithms, machine learning and AI theory
• Go deeper into programming
• Study AI legalization

Eventually I want to provide AI solutions to businesses: such as AI controlled help desks

To become a programmer one doesn't need any credentials. Do you think this will also count for AI programmers?
