Humans are aware enough to know that they are going to die which is utterly terrifying to us so we create cultures which act as mechanism to help to make ourselves feel important and hero-like as a way to combat death anxiety even if the foundational myths of their culture are delusional and they need to lie to themselves in order to sustain these myths.

@vindicated erudite I don't agree with that really. Thought, it's a worth lens to have I think when held together with different interpretations.

Sure we know we will die. But, maybe we'd just like some entertainment why we are here!

Plus, these myths and legends actually have morals, themes and lessons in them which are entertaining and I enjoy them.

Though, our culture is toxic and there are many lies in it. That is for sure. It is solely a fear of death?

I don't know about that. I don't know how other people relate to death.

I would have rather thought of a "terror of insignificance".

You're an infinitely insignificant shitty waste of nothing at all, and above all that there is nowhere to hide except ignorance.

Way more scary in itself than death.
