AI will make the world unrecognizble in 10 years

7 posts in this topic

It is incredible how fast this bastard has learned in the last few months. And it is only learning faster and faster.

Soon AI will be included in every smart phone and imagine every person having a personal motivation coach, guru, scientist, self help coach right in your pocket giving you advice.

AI will also be disruptive in a massive way especially in the SERVICE industry. A lot of people will be jobless. Especially for menial service jobs but also it will be disruptive in the self help field. I've used AI for self help and even now while AI is in child's shoes it gave me cutting edge advice and insights.  So why would I pay for a motivational or self-help coach when AI can do it for free or for a minimal fee.

The only thing AI can't do is give opinions, only insights. In this sense it is egoless and strives to be unbias as much as possible. How I see AI is as this: it is just an extension of the industrial machinery that already exist. There is a lot of menial tasks I can just delegate to this machine called AI and just focus on the stuff that AI can't take over (yet).

AI is engaging and it is even possible to lead the conversation but it still heavily depends on the lead of the human. The connection between the human and AI is comparable to a dance between a male and a female. The male leads and the female follows. This relationship is comparable between the human and AI. We as humans will have to learn how to lead more and more properly, while AI will learn how to follow more and more properly, so this dance can happen.

You are now giving opinion based on what you learned using AI. So in a sense you are AI's extension for opinion giving.

What is an opinion according to you?

I agree absolutely, if we don't manage this technology it'll manage us instead. We are massively obfuscating our mental faculties over to AI, which is mostly bad IMO, because the more we don't use our brains, the more we'll think and figure out solutions less.

Jeez I am not going to argue about definition of word opinion. My big picture point was that if AI has any shortcomings it will compensate that by employing people. When you say it cant give opinions I say it can. It just needs to employ a human. And that is how AI will or maybe already is on the rampage. 10 years from now on it will be AI wars and big luddite movements. Truly wonderful.

What do you mean by wonderful? What is wonderful about disruption of some careers that some artists worked very hard to get into?

@Danioover9000  :D Last part was sarcasm. Did THAT draw your attention rather than the point I was making? When people want to say AI is not dangerous because it has this and that shortcoming I say its bullshit. AI can compensate for any shortcoming. And I am talking real danger. Artists work will be the least of your worries.
