I Love Games

8 posts in this topic

Not video games, but games. The concept that you need to influence course of events in a subtle, and an indirect, but effective way.

I love games mostly because in this life, you don't always have the luxury of being able to be understood and respected, and hardly anybody takes your interest in account. Also:

- Games can solve your problems without confrontations.

- Games can make justice and love come true.

- Games can move things forward in life.

and much more..

My soul is yearning to meet people who also love games.

@Mesopotamian By games, do you mean manipulation in the abstract sense?

That word sounds ugly though.

This whole life is a cosmic game of hide & seek, if you really think about it ;)

As above so below, as within so without.

This will also totally destroy your ability to form any meaningful relationships in your life, because people will just turn into puppets to play your cute little "games" with. The better you are at these games the more isolated you'll feel. It's literally just hell.

I feel I can't become totally authentic anymore. These insights keep coming, and sometimes you can't communicate them either to people.

If you have an insight about how to act in order to make your wife loves you more, can you communicate it to her?

Do you tell her that you're going to love me because I am acting this way?

is it a game if she does love you madly but she doesn't know why?

Don't you want her to love you?

Do you play the game? do you act on your insight? or you don't act according to it?

is it seen as a manipulation if you don't tell her why she's falling in love with you?

If you can't communicate something to someone else, isn't that the authentic you? You could try communicate your inability to communicate these things to her and see how she reacts. Communication isn't a one way street. It requires two. So are you maybe scared of what might come back at you once you start communicating freely?

This is a good suggestion, maybe yes, I can communicate the inability to communicate.. but the thing that I can't keep a secret well haha, so I can end up telling the secret.

I empathize with it if that's the case. You are from the middle east if I remember correctly? I'd honestly be scared to talk about some of the things that I talk about to my friends and family if I was living in the middle east. Maybe I just have a bad image of the middle east, but I've talked to lot's of political refugees who had to leave because of their opinions. So communicating freely isn't an easy job. Not even in the west.

No you're right. You can't be authentic, and people have dogmas.. you can't say much. Every little action they do is attached to stubburn dogma.

But that's what I mean. What we fear is what might happen to us if we say what we think. Imagine if others could hear all of your thoughts. That's a scary thought (at least to me)! It could get you killed, or shamed or whatever. And that's why we manipulate. Because we fear the death of what we love.

of course it is scary..

@Mesopotamian

If you want to go all in with "Game Mindset" you can read "Winning The Inner Game by Michael Hall".

It's a NLP book but insanely good for looking at your own life as a series of games.

Enjoy it :D
