Phone overheats while charging

11 posts in this topic

My phone overheats a lot while charging. It's so hot to touch on the front display.

What can be done to calm it down?

@Realms of Wonder that's why I asked in the off topic section. Because it's sort of an off topic topic and maybe some of you guys have some tips that even Google doesn't have. Google offers very broad spectrum conventional answers that sometimes don't work.

This is a personal development forum, not google.

Wow, if you can read you should be able to see that there's several sub-forums which isn't about personal development or spirituality.

But maybe this should be in "technology" instead.

In settings you should be able to change to a slower charging speed, that would make it less hot.  Atleast if it's Android.

You are right, 'twas not in the personal development sub-section.

What I'm doing right now is to charge it only 30% and then use it again.

And then charge 30% again in slow installments till it's fully charged over the course of the day.

I'm not sure if this is safe.

Are you using some cheap no-brand charger and/or cable that you got online?
