@Zion

Seriousness is giving meaning to something. That includes 2 parts: Intellectual meaning that you give and effort you put in. It is also about being precise and actually being highly consious throughout the process. True opposite of seriousness is false nihilism which haven't went full circle yet and you're stuck in a mindset that everything is meaningless and grey. The point of taking life seriously is allowing you to see the max potentiality that life can offer for you to experience. There's no point of not taking life seriously, but many people confuse one thing with it. Seriousness doesn't equal lack of fun or playfulness. Of course you should be having fun, because isn't that the whole point of the show?

Seriousness is about having a specific goal in mind and being dedicated to not get distracted by other things as much as possible.

The opposite would be to just 'Go With The Flow'.

Both states are valuable given certain contexts.

Seriousness is when you realize too much time was wasted in nothing significant.

seriousness is when you stop letting life push you around, the frivolous person meanwhile goes with the flow and wants to fit in and be accepted

wake tf up

and start living like it
