What is a good place to go to in G?

So, how to move to Germany? But maybe more importantly where in Germany to move to? 

My best answers would be to learn German and then go there to socialize. Making friends could lead to jobs, healthcare. Best city might be a Protestant one or a non-religious one. It could be a Catholic one like Dortmund or something in Rhine-Ruhr area.

It would be even better if I could move there before learning the language.

Why not just go with the biggest one? Berlin.

Berlin alone is almost matching my country in population.

I would personally live in the biggest city of any country, with some exceptions.

I heard Cologne was full of students so that might be interesting.

I would personally consider 2 germans = 1 American. Since they’re not quite known for being social animals.

you're right. now if only i could figure out how and then really be able to move there before I'm forever bound where I am currently in a not so comfortable place, except for lot's of unhealthy comfort foods and maybe warm showers. 

i appreciate the replay. it would be great there. they probably sell dmsa in their pharmacy shops but with prescriptions.

Berlin is very international, you can get by quite easily without speaking a word of German. Bureaucracy without speaking the language will be an issue if you don't have anyone to help you. If you are on a tight budget, look for student accommodations or WG's (shared appartments).

Lots of culture and always things to do, before deciding though, visit first.
