Forging Focus

Hello everyone, I've been following Actualized for several months now but this is my first post.

I've just acquired a new job as a copywriter working online from home, it pays fairly and I really enjoy it, although copywriting can be monotonous, I am fairly passionate about maybe becoming a successful writer one day. I am in quite a bad way financially and I know this is my chance to change that doing work that isn't soul-destroying retail service or something. In my higher self I am driven towards wanting to dedicate all my time to this work and grow my income to a position where I may be able to pursue my life purpose without debt hanging over me. I am confident that if I can make myself work long hours under my own influence and not give into distractions, social obligations and such, I would have the potential to learn so much about my self-motivation and discipline capabilities. This would possibly open the door for me to crafting a working from home career, developing a business or finding time to devote to my creative passions. I would really appreciate any advice, stories or techniques people may know of that I could utilise to keep myself on track and begin to generate success and dedication to building strong foundations for myself.  I've been looking into positive affirmations and things but my psyche can be so rebellious and continuously doubt or forget about viable goals and critical responsibilities.

I feel like this is my first step to becoming fully financially independent.

How do you learn to love laborious work?

Please help

Just let go of the belief that some work is laborious, then do other work. You're expressing dissatisfaction with your limiting beliefs, so expand. There are many jobs.

I like the job? I find that my ability to retain discipline in maximising my use of time to achieve success is not always in line with my highest values, I sometimes allow myself to be distracted by material habits or momentary satisfaction. I would like to get the most out of this job so that I can be in a more stable position to branch out and have more time for interests and life purpose. You must first dig up the existing earth to build the foundations for the desired house before you can sleep in the bedroom.

When you're doing the laborious work, instead, think about what you just said. Whatever it is you want in your future, you're doing it. Nothing can be laborious if you are building your future, or your dream.
