What are are the principles, concepts, ideas, and resources that exist out there that can be used to overcome difficult situations in life?

Life can be hard some times, and we should have the mindset and resources to deal with these situations.

I have some books in mind I will list, but I always like to see what other people have in mind as well.
Life can be tough. But, if we are committing to life long learn and have a long time horizon we can achieve things. I believe this.

I've been a victim to the blade against myself
Bloodletting all of my soul
Sucked in, paralyzed in this vortex
Reduced to silence
In the dark, I've lingered too long
This sharpened axe, beam of light
I reach for, and I master
Wield against these shadows

Its purpose now revealed in silence
Keep searching, question if this light ends

I lost my fears and the notion of time
I healed my sorrow
All boundaries are illusion
When you reach the centre light and
Reinforce the striking power
By chance you're followed

"Love and live your life
Make it lavish long
And I can't right my wrongs
So I just write my songs
How would I live if God guaranteed my life was long?
And when I sin I pray that God don't leave my life alone"

L's - G Herbo

"Ya, some how, some way
We gotta make it out the hood some day
Can't lie, I still wake up and juug some days
Just to make sure that my family good some days, yeah
But some how, some way
We gotta make it out the hood some day
Can't lie, I still wake up and juug some days
Just to make sure that my family good some days, yeah"

PnB Rock on Lil Bibby feat. PnB Rock - Somehow, Someway

Whenever listen songs like that, I feel empowered!!! Life is precious.

Decisiveness, taking things one step at a time, self-forgiveness.

Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

There's no resilience without proper sleeping, diet, exercise and hydratation.

I even think that before starting self-actualization with books, courses and videos you need to look at this 4 pillars.

That's a basic thing but a LOT of people overlook.

They want a technique that manifests it all without work.

Are you sleeping 6h/8h? eating healtier? exercising 3x week minimum? drinking 2L/3L of water?

A vision!
which rests upon 3 main pillars:

  1. Mental: reading, contemplation.
  2. Physical: diet, exercise.
  3. Spiritual: meditation.

You could find more examples for each but I wrote what I personally find the most important.

I believe in the religion of Love
Whatever direction its caravans may take,
For love is my religion and my faith.

So many great answers everyone let’s keep this going. I like that people are touching up the total fundamentals of health and well being and then building up from there. I notice that sleep, nutrition and rest are some of the most fundamental forms of feeling well. Then, when we are acting throughout our day it’s important to act constructively towards our goals, cut out distractions and negative thinking patterns.

I think doing some kind of meditation, journaling and exercise daily is very important. Having some non negotiable time everyday to work on a project that matters to you. Doing visualization practices, affirmations, reading books and consuming media that inspires you.

Taking charge of understanding your finances, knowing how much you earn, how much you spend and keeping track of your pay stubs, or you business finances.

Taking risks, pushing your comfort zone and growing yourself through direct experience.

Going about your personal development in an order that makes sense for you. Not getting lost in grand ideas when rent is due. Learn to enjoy the process of mastering survival.

It’s also important to just let life be lived… you can’t change the past. You can’t control the future exactly. Laugh at the world. Love yourself. Appreciate the small things. Play the game of life right from where you are not some imaginary place that is a absolutely out of reach.

Sober living and learn to feel good sober.

Build healthy relationships.

Keep your house clean.

That's it! I have another big phrase, which huuuge implication: Live and let live.

To be right in a given argument is, most likely not important at all - not even for you personally. So take it easy, relax and say: You are right if that's what's up. Don't argue to win, argue to learn.

  • Loving Complexity and Simplicity

A master does not avoid complexity, he revels in it, explains it, to those whose attention spans can handle it. A balance must be made, between simplifying and complexification. This is the dance of life. Most people prefer simplicity over complexity, this why the master revels in complexity and is actually able to simplify by first complexifying. Complexity makes simplicity possible. People who chase simplicity complexify their lives. People who relish in complexity and are willing to undertake the task of diving deep into the intricacies of the mind are the ones who live simply. The great life is complicated, but living it, is simple. Having a simple mind is having a complicated life. All great things require patience, focus, curiosity, and information. All great things are at once complicated and simple.

  • Do anything that brings you into a state of flow: for me its walking or writing.
  • Love the fight

Everyday, we encounter resistance, and diffculties. I am painfully aware of the ease at which directionless, aimlessness,  lack of key discernment/wisdom, and anti-mastery creeps into my life. At every moment of everyday this war is fought, and almost always lost. If won, it is not without scars. I am aware of the fight I am fighting. Are you? Because if you're not, you have already lost my friend. So learn to enjoy the fight, the struggle, the process. A warrior mindset is needed.

  • "Mood Follows Action" / Break the cycle of complacency.

Rewire yourself by doing.

  • Take it easy, one step at a time.

Relax the mind, enjoy the peace of an early morning weekend. To those who are on the great path to a great life, we must seize the day, especially these days. These are the days which reaffirm our inclinations towards self-development. These are the days which allow us a glimpse of the future we seek. These days are the days which allow us to become fully present in what we're doing to enjoy the life we already have, and cherish the only moment that ever exists, now. These are the days we live for

  • Make every day count.

Nice. Can you do it though?

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche

@Nilsi I’m still new to the idea. But there is a lot in there as a newbie already that I value like… how to masturbate really well instead of how most young men have been trained.

Ive had the full body orgasm he talks about but it’s so different from what I’ve grown up doing.
