In this beautiful Kirtan, one which Shri Shri Ma was very fond of, Ma brings out the various attributes of God like Truth, Knowledge, Infinity, Bliss among others. Ma didn't usually sing very good but at times her voice seems to be possesed by God itself and the sound becomes divine, reverberating through all space as threads of light. There is a moment where this happens in the Kirtan.

On the one hand (the ultimate reality) is ever existent, pure, buddha (knowledge), free and eternal; on the other hand, God has infinite names, forms and attributes – this is eternal truth. The qualitative manifestations of names and forms are in fact, the revelation of different waves of the God-principle. Be intoxicated with, infused in, attached to, engrossed with, and exposed to Him; then only (it can be understood) that everything in this creation is His manifestation, He Himself, His playground - MA.

She was in such high states of God Realization that frequently couldn't make it to eat by herself.

Devotees after days without eating and with fear of her dropping the body, started the habit of feeding her like a baby to keep her alive.

This is for me an outstanding fact that corroborates that some few human beings where born as superconscious mutants and really abided in God Consciousness.

When asked about such matters, she answered in the following way: I don't know what you are talking about, I always feed myself! Wether it is this hand or that hand, what is the difference?

Whatever God does is for the good. It is difficult for men to understand this. That is why if one’s desires are not fulfilled, the result is unhappiness. Many a time hindrance and obstacles come in the way of honest desire and auspicious act. Nevertheless, it should be remembered, that through what He is letting me in, is beyond my knowledge. He is kind and merciful, and at all times is bestowing mercy on me - MA.

“Often God gives a light affliction and thereby prevents a much graver one. Sorrow too is one of His own expressions. 

 

Through sorrow God often attracts living beings towards Himself. Suffering is also an opportunity. Dire difficulty demonstrates to man how weak and helpless he is.

 

When he finds that nothing can be achieved by his own efforts, an urge arises in him to turn to God in prayer.

 

When in great trouble, man spontaneously invokes God's help. For God prevents and makes us overcome difficulties.

 

For those who can convert affliction into an opportunity for the invocation of God, affliction is a supreme friend."

Endless are the directions of flow of various types of failures in this world. If one gets entangled and floats himself along that flow, it is natural to receive exhaustion and disturbance in life as the fruit of failure. But the mind should not be kept there. The mind should be kept directed to high ideals, aiming at self-fulfillment unnoticed by anyone in this world and the next. Who knows through what His summon comes. Don’t get stuck up. You are the truth, the pure, the enlightened, the liberated and the eternal. For self-advancement towards that direction, one should take the course with fresh attitude on one’s own. God is indeed within in the form of knowledge and right intelligence. Taking this advantage one should undertake the journey along the way to the revelation of the self. Time indeed is passing by. The ultimate father, the ultimate mother, the ultimate brother, the friend, the master is He – all in one. His feet are to be remembered.

By what path and in what manner the Almighty attracts any particular person to Himself with great force is incomprehensible to the human intelligence. 

The path differs indeed for different pilgrims. 
Very often He destroys misfortune by misfortune, and removes sorrow by sorrow. 

To advance in this spirit means for everyone to tread his own path. 

One's own path is the path that leads to Self-realization, to the supreme, ultimate Goal itself."

Question: Why does God not bestow His grace on all?

 

Mataji: For God there are no others.

 

Question: But He is called Dīnadayāla, one who bestows His grace on the humble!

 

Mataji: Yes, He is Dīnadayāla - for those who become humble before Him, ie., those who surrender to Him!

If man so wills, he can get rid of the veil of ignorance in his lifetime and realize God. 

The desire to know God is the natural desire of a Jiva. A human being does not want to remain ignorant as in reality he is the embodiment of Knowledge, of Peace.
You do not relish falsehood, you crave for truth - since you are in fact Truth in essence. 

Tread the path leading to God, His grace is pouring forth perpetually. The reason why we are not aware of it, is that you are holding your vessel upside down and so His grace continually flows away.
Keep your vessel right side up and it will fill to overflowing.

It is useless to expect peace in the world. Try to be only with Him. Perform all service as duty. The world is not a place of happiness. Take shelter only at the feet of God for peace.
