Your all time favorite movie?

One is so impossible to chose...

So I'll cheat and make it to 5, sorry

Stalker : incredibly spiritual movie that has a very specific sense of time (it's around 3 hours and veeery slow at times, but that's part of the point, introspection etc)

I rewatch it once a year, and it still feels like a mystical experience to me,

I wouldn't recommend it to a lot of people tho.

Everything everywere all once : The balance between absurdly funny, action, mystical and basic human relationships is so good.

If makes me cry to twice in theaters. Rare that a film can touch my soul so deeply on existential matters. Can't wait to rewatch it.

Whiplash : The raw anger and competitivity ends up in a non-conventional explosive finale that leaves you on edge.

Kids return : Incredibly nostalgic japanese movie from Kitano. Not nostalgic as in, namedrop/copying the past like they do today, more like, people reflecting back on their lives. Sad with a smile.

And eeer...the latest movie might be a Tarantino movie but not sure which one. Or maybe a Kurosawa one.

Marvel ant man is pretty good. it's like a science movie where a man turned into an ant.

I don't know if it's my favourite film ever but 12 Angry Men is really good. It's old and black and white but it doesn't matter.

The idea that an entire movie could be set inside a single small room and still be incredibly engaging is really impressive.

Everything everywhere all at once.

Fightclub.

Into the Wild.

Mother (by Aronofsky)

I really enjoyed the first three recommendations so I decided to give Mother a shot, even though I don't ususally watch horror movies, any more. There was an aspect of it I enjoyed, the feel, the 'vibe' of it, and I liked Jennifer Lawrences character and acting in it, however I didn't enjoy the movie much. From nearly the begining I had no idea what was going on (Spoiler alert following). Then things started to get crazy. It kind of felt like what's the point of this, I really doubted many people had any idea of what was going on through out the movie. Even after watching a video explaining the movie, still didn't do it. Just to share. Thanks for the recommendation though.

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche

I really like when I get mindfucked by a movie. It kind of puts me into spiritual place of mystery without words.

I also really liked poor things! It tickled the same spots of my brain as Mother.

Don‘t have one but one of my faves is La Haine a french movie about some guys from a poverty/crime ridden area.

Just the way it’s shot, in black and white, kind of artsy and great acting and still real. The whole movie takes place in a day of their life.

This is actually the whole film on YouTube i think
