The Dalai Lama And John Oliver

Just finished watching this video with John Oliver and the Dalai Lama.  I don't really like John Oliver as a person but this interview with the Dalai Lama cracked me up.  Enjoy. ;)

@Evilwave Heddy +1 it was funny :D

Also  :  did you know that the Dalai Lama spent a lot of his daily practice doing self inquiry  ?

To me, he displays well the two wings of emptiness and compassion,two wings that make you fly, free like a bird.

What are the names of those books  ?   :) Personnally, those that have inspired me were  :

-how to practice

-how to see yourself as you really are

-becoming enlightened

@Laisa Glad you enjoyed it and no problem (:

@Dodoster I don't know much about the Dalai Lama, so I might get one of his books just to see what it's all about (;

The Dalai Lama once came to my university to give a speech. I was gonna go but then got lazy and didn't.

Oh wow! So you know, how do I combat laziness? Meditation kinda fits in, because of the promise of doing nothing for an hour, but I really see I like just being lazy.... This way I cannot achieve my fullest potential. Do I need to reach that fullest potential is also a question I'm struggling to answer. Could you give me any guidance or advice? Thanks

I've been touched by The Dalai Lama - he clasped my hands twice while visiting Sydney.  Unfortunately, my then life continued on as if this never happened.

@jse Wouldn't it be nice if enlightenment was an infectious disease, like herpes? ;)
