The downfall of movie quality

3 posts in this topic

Interesting POV on how and why the quality of Movies, especially Heros movies decreased in modern times. Also a critic on how Masculinity was degraded via this movies. I noticed this subtle effects while watching these movies and personaly know is inevitable but still goog to see that I was not the only one to notice it

My dad sometimes showed me good old movies with some realness behind it. The hero sacrifices himself for a greater good. But it aint pretty. Sure you just saved a bunch of people but know you are a piece of cold meat with a bullet in your head. No camera zooming out with heroic music to overplay the tragedy and give the illusion that the soul is at a better place now. No a great being turned into a piece of lifeless meat in a second. I don't want to be a hero. All superhero movies are so full of shit. The hero is just an undeveloped childish narcissist dude. The only enemy he fights is a dumb fiction of evil because he isn't developed enough to handle anything more.

Watch Unforgiving 1992

You'll love the realness.
