Is Logic absolute?

20 posts in this topic

Leo uses logic to explain God and then he dismisses logic saying logic is not absolute. But if it is not absolute, how could we use it to explain the absolute?

Logic doesn’t exist. Logic is relative within your given hallucination that you call reality.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

Are there worlds or realities where Logic does'n't Exist? I think Logic is an essential aspect of reality.

I think Leo means science when he says Logic.

And we should here ask the question, what makes something absolute?

Where do you find logic?  Can you find logic on a tree or in your hand or is logic something you project onto the world?

Where did you first learn about logic from?  How do you know that logic is logical?  Is logic relative to our epistemology or is logic relative to a certain dimension?  These are all good questions to contemplate.  Somebody invented logic and fallacies.  Logic is a structured way of thinking about reality and concepts.  It isn't necessarily true because there are many nonlinear, illogical ways to conceive of reality that are also valid.

Logic is relative to ones experiences.  If you are an atheist, you think the idea of God is illogical.  If you are a spiritual person, you think of rigorous scientists and atheists to be "illogical."  The boundary between logical and illogical is not so clear cut.  We imagine logic.

What is true in all cases.

Logic is only true relativistically to one's state of consciousness.  There are insights that can be had about life that are counter to and beyond your rules of thinking.

I cannot imagine a reality where logic doesn't exist. Why would god create such a thing? I think God likes logic the way he likes sicnece but still logic is beyond science.

You imagine a reality with logic.  If you stopped imagining logic, it would cease to exist.  Logic is a language that is dependent on the mind.

Why would God create such a thing?  Because God is Infinity and Love.  Love is complete wholeness and lack of bias that also includes bias.  God includes all of reality that is bias and non bias, good and bad, logical and illogical, etc. etc.

I would suggest that science is beyond logic. I could be wrong, but science is such a broad concept.  The basic definition of science is "a method for deriving knowledge and understanding."  Observation is science, meditation is science, psychedelics are science, academic science is science, witchcraft is a science, etc.  The question is what kind of science do you want to do?  What are you most curious about and how can you derive knowledge about that in the best possible way?  Every question you ask will require to you invent methods to derive the answer.  There comes a point where logic meets its limit when it comes to more intuitive ways of understanding reality.  Academic science is only a narrow domain within Science with a capital S.

There is nothing beyond science but our lack of knowledge.

infinity is not logical. escapes all logic. the logical mind screams when faced with the infinite. logic is a creation of infinity, like a toy, not something absolute in itself

It's used by the mind to make logical conclusions. The conclusions are not the truth itself though.

@Breakingthewall I think God couldn't exist without Logic, for example, Leo says God created itself, or God is Love because he includes everything. Both of these statements are based on Logic, So I think it is an essential part of reality.

I don’t think any logician would say that God creating itself is logical. They would call that the fallacy of begging the question or circular logic. God is a fallacy in the logicians mind. How can something come from nothing? No logic can explain that. No logician would except magical thinking or magic as the answer. A logician sees reality as a kind of clock whereas a spiritualist sees it as a mysterious mind. Logic and mystery are at odds. The logician wants to make sense of the mystery. But the True Mystery of Not-Knowing puts logic in its place.

Make a distinction between someone talking, and your direct experience of consciousness itself. Think of something  illogical.

I think there is a paradox, that though god is trans rational there is a logic to it.

When you are having your God realization you will realize it’s not logical and can’t be put into words. Though, you can point to it with words. Leo’s videos are not the absolute, they are not god realization, they are not infinite love… they are a video like a finger pointing to the moon.

Realize the actual moon not the symbols pointing to it.

It's a distinction, so relative. Logic gets to exist by contrast to that which isn't it.

Only the absolute is absolute and the only way to settle the matter is by becoming conscious of it by oneself.

It's not about logic. The nature of the absolute is paradoxical. It's absolute! Take care not to conflate the logic used to try to represent an enlightenment with the absolute.

Logos is not absolute because The Absolute is The Absolute.
And yet, Being and Doing are inseparable. There's no 'there' there to differentiate!
Think of it like this; if Light is what God is, then Love is what God does.

Light is Consciousness. Electromagnetic waves have both an electric component, and a magnetic component.
The electric field contains all the information in the Universe. The magnetic field contains a mirror (reciprocal) copy of the information. The two fields are inseparable because they induce current in one another and so together we call this the Electromagnetic Field. The Electromagnetic Field is Consciousness. You induce electricity in the neurons of the body and brain through will alone. Thoughts are electric signals. Emotions are the magnetic resonance that harmonizes as a result of electric activity.

Logic cannot capture the Absolute but it can point you to becoming the Absolute.   Being something and walking in its shoes is far superior than trying to describe what's its like to be that.   Descriptions have their value but cannot compare to actually being the thing itself.

@Thought Art @Inliytened1 Ohhhh, I get it now. Sorry, I basically dismissed all of your answers but now I understand. We can use Logic to try to understand God but God itself is beyond Logic. Jeeez, that was a hard question.

God is the bottomless hole from which reality aka infinite love flows. It doesn't have the slightest logic. but the way in which the created reality is structured is absolutely logical

Logic is a pointer.
