Within this, we think we are “above the law,” carried by our self-serving point of view, and accountable to ourselves and not to others, the environment, or society.

I smell bullshit right from the start. It has some good points, but a lot of nonsense also. The problem with spiritual articles is that you have to deeply read them and nit-pick every word. Also without any prior spiritual experience you can deceive yourself even more.

This article is full of false claims. One should be very careful in reading these things, because the message that is created to give some clarity can deceive a person as much as guide him.

@inFlow yeh well that's life good luck figuring things out. Everyone and everything is bullshit. That's up to you to see the right dichotomies of things.

Lot of factors to take in, what seems true today maybe not tomorrow.

The reason everything is B.S. is because you are the Absolute Truth and must keep fooling yourself to have a life. So your entire reality is built on deception, that's why its so hard to figure out because to overcome deception you must tell the truth and truth is unknown to you in the relative.

The relative is rough, the absolute is marriage to yourself and thus an inner marriage with all of existence.

One experience I had resumes all this trap. 

I was so imersed in the ideia of Oness, only the ideia of Oness and not the actual Oness that is much more deep than only the idea. 

So one day sitting in a kitchen with this Ucranian Girl, a very developed girl that at  that time was able to see through my spiritual bypassing. So she was trying to mirror to me some of my biases and I dont remember what was,but, my answer to her was " ahhh everything is one anymway or everything is illusion anyway!!" And her answer to me was : " Don't  use Oneness to escape looking to your mistakes".

So in a sense all this Oness stuff can be weponized to justify any shit the ego want to do and feel good about. And at same time this articles can be used by people to avoid going deep just because they decided previously that this can become a spiritual bypass situation.

Its often referred to as spiritual ego or super ego, but yeah it's just spiritual materialism for the spiritual ego/sense of self....  it goes without saying that this kind of guru/god complex stuff happens all over the world and in all sects of spiritual/religious circles. 

Nothing right or wrong with any of it!

Spiritual materialism ends up just being another attempt to try to aquire that which feels lacking or incomplete......BUT there isn't anything missing except the realization that nothing is missing!

"There is only everything, so how could anything possibly be missing from everything!"

The so-called transcendence doesn't occur for an individual(no one becomes enlightened), it's the clear revelation that there never was a real separate individual from the start.

@Razard86 true  I think. But .. what's the truth ? And what's the relative in your words ?? 

 

@Rafael Thundercat maybe the truth is that you just used words to dismiss the 'physics' of the situation when you was with this girl . Like being in head instead of eyes and body. Words are cheap against the real truth of the moment you where locally in. Sometimes our mind cloud judgement for a false idea of the truth. Though words have definitely power in the right context and used at the right time, or it seems so.
