Does death exist?

6 posts in this topic

If you say yes, you are essentially saying non-existence exists which is a logical contradiction. If you say no, you are wrong in the fact that your biological self will eventually cease to exist.

There is no such thing as biological self. Similary to so-called "death" or external absolute reality - these are conceptual constructs of human mind. You don't have life so there is nothing to loose. You are life itself. But this you need to rediscover for yourself. Otherwise you belive or disbelive which is nothing more than creating even more concepts.

@Kuba Powiertowski First you deny the existence of life then death and external reality. Then you say I don’t have life but am life itself. Do you recognize the contradictory nature of your response?

If you define death as disintegration of biological body then death exists.

If you define death as your Consciousness ceasing to exist then death does not exist.

death exists since all this experience that you are so attached to disappears. your body, your father, the planet, the fact of being a human. if you are very attached, it is total death, since you are completely identified with all that. if you are detached there is no death, since existence will always exist.

Yeah. it's:

Death EQUALS non-existence which exists and that makes no sense logically.

Or

Death EQUALS non-existence which doesn't exist.

Both statements seem to fall short. Another way to look at it is

Death IS NOT EQUAL to non-existence, but it's the falling back into the very root of existence.
