Bolsonaro supporters have stormed the entire government of Brazil!

Given how unconscious the leaders are, it is important to generate more and more backlash against them. And for the population to act more and more decisively, to take a stand for what they want. This is a step in the right direction.

The truckers set a good precedent.

Politicians and their police lapdogs, who banned protests during the COVID lockdowns, need to be taught a lesson for separating people and isolating people in their homes, putting everyone in house-arrest. They have abused their monopoly over violence very badly in the pandemic. They need to be shown who put them there and kept in line by the people, who are the real boss. It's not the 1%, it's the 99%.

This also shows us that right-wingers aren't 'cry-babies'. When push comes to shove, they can act and they can deliver.

The problem the right has with the left isn't that they don't agree with what the left says in theory, the SJW-talk. They simply don't buy it, because the left's actions don't align with the words the left says. They say they're 'for equality', and they destroy men's lives for it. (MeToo) They say they're 'against racism', and they actively hate on white people. (BLM-riots) They say they're 'for LGBT', and they actively hate on straight people! (Backlash against the straight-pride parade) This is the real problem.

No real solution to the social-justice issues will come out of this, until the people on the left truly walk their talk.

It is only that, a tantrum.

They were upset because their fascist leader lost the electon, went to the capital, broke everything, accomplished nothing, screaming and shouting for a military intervention.

Hundreds of arrests later, they still cry and portray themselves as victims.

This is as child-like behavior as it can be.

You're assuming the existence of a 'democracy' when you say that. What you're forgetting, is that the world's leaders threw it out of the window in the pandemic. No 'election' is going to be seen as legitimate from this point on, because peaceful protesting doesn't work to collapse governments or to get any point across.

Would you call what's happening in Sri Lanka a 'tantrum' too?! Or, do they have legitimate reasons to overthrow their fascist government for destroying them?!

That's just dumb.

Tell me, then - why would they feel the need to escalate, if they saw the election as 'democratic'?!

Because they aren't democratic, they are fascists.

You think they see the election as 'democratic'?! And they're going 'Oh, but we don't accept democracy, cuz we're fascists, so let's storm the democracy'?!

Or, are they thinking 'the other side cheated, because communism is something that most people won't go with'?!

That's actually both...

What these extremists groups truly believe, in the back of their minds, is that

"we don't accept democracy, cuz we're fascists, so let's storm the democracy"

But they can't say that out loud, they probably aren't even aware that this is what they're doing, so they justify in their "conscious mind" by saying

"the other side cheated, because communism is something that most people won't go with"

They clearly haven't learned from history, how many victims and those killed under communism, but easier said here as they are mostly poor and a third world country that desperately needs capitalism first, before entertaining any ideals of democracy or communism second.

I'm more worried for other social infrastructures effected by this political coup, for example the banana business, are they gonna stop sending over the bananas now?

What strikes me is the silence of Army forces in this case. This blog below a political analist give his take of some point about this coupe. Bolsonaro is not free from responsability in this situation, he himself was feeding this during his whole service time, not so different than Trump.

I had translated the blog post  from the link below. Frei Betto is the writer.

Frei Betto: Aborted Coup FREI BETTO BLOG 09 JANUARY 2023

By destroying the palaces of the three powers on Sunday, January 8, in Brasília, Bolsonarist terrorists showed their faces and claws. Mimetic Trumpists reproduced here in broader dimensions the vandalism that took place at the Capitol, in Washington, two years ago, in a complete demonstration that their motto is “dictatorship yes, democracy no!”

Security failed due to the complicity of the governor of Brasilia, Ibaneis Rocha, and his security secretary, former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres. The Military Police of the federal capital, responsible for the defense of national heritage, facilitated the action of criminals and only arrested a few vandals after Lula decreed federal intervention in public security in Brasília. The Armed Forces were omitted, in an evident posture of tacit support for terrorism. In fact, the “terrorist incubators”, as the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, referred to the Bolsonarist camps in front of barracks, after all, hatched the serpent's egg.

The Brazilian Justice made the serious mistake of, in the early days of the country's re-democratization, in the mid-1980s, not rigorously punishing murderers and torturers in the service of the military dictatorship that took over the country for 21 years (1964-1985). Had it followed the example of Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, Brazil would have separated the wheat from the chaff. However, an odd resource, the “reciprocal amnesty”, prevents the punishment of those who, in the name and at the expense of the State, tortured, killed, kidnapped and made opponents of the military regime disappear. Bolsonaro, whose family history is demonstrably linked to the militias, as shown in the book “O Negócios do Jair – the forbidden story of the Bolsonaro clan”, by Juliana Dal Piva (Zahar), watched everything from his cabin in Miami. In the same city, Anderson Torres was on vacation, now dismissed from the Federal District government

Fortunately, the coup was aborted due to the energetic action of Lula, Minister of Justice Flávio Dino and Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court. The maddened mob was expelled from the palaces of the Republic and three hundred vandals were arrested. It now remains to discover and punish who financed the terrorist caravans to Brasilia and why the Armed Forces remained in blatant silence. There is only one antidote to authoritarianism: more democracy. And that means reinforcing popular participation in the Lula government. Governance cannot depend only on parliamentary negotiations and the consent of the Armed Forces. It is imperative that its main support be the politicized and organized people.

Nothing was really affect, except now the institutions have more than enough clearance to go after every single one of them, including the military and high rank politics like ex-president Bolsonaro.

I found that post extremely offensive, and very untrue.

since 1988, under our final constitution,  our voting process has been working tremendously well, even Bolsonaro, who is now contesting the validity of it (without providing any real evidence), has been elected by that same process during his entire 30 year long career as a politician (his sons included).

Do you really think that our country exists just to give you bananas?

Well.. you should read more about Brazil, we are one of the leading exports of soy, meat and we also have large oil reserves and one of the largest natural reserves in the world, which is the Amazon.

That kind of statement of yours is actually very discriminatory

Brasil is like a shop that every 4 years change Managers and every Manager need to fix the shit the last manager spread in the walls, including the Staff from the last owner wire that will still work in the Shop and Hate the new owner, doing what they can to Sabotage the new Manager. What happen with the old adage?: "Give back things better that when you found them."

Okay, I'm sorry, let me cartwheel backwards, let me clear things up. The banana was a joke, I wasn't being serious, yes your country also exports soy and meat, and I happened to have traveled to Brazil and enjoyed your Brazilian restaurants and buffets of many types of  meats, yes. Also from your country came BJJ, which I have a black belt on, although that had to first be that Japanese general who came to your country and taught his Japanese Jiu Jitsu first, and from that the Gracie family came to America. Hate the blazing sun and humidity though, but nice beaches and all. Also happened to have experienced Rio and that parade, pretty nice.

I'm willing to bet way less than what Stalin did to ten million plus Russians under his Regime, and tens of millions way more under Mau's movement, the Chinese Civil War, which also was preceded by the bloodiest civil war of all time, The Taiping Rebellion. with over 20 million dead. If you are a Communist or Marxist, or socialist/progressive, and would like to continue living and viewing reality in that lens, okay, but acknowledge you are complacent and have had a helping hand in the continual atrocities and suffering under those ideologies.

Capitalism ain't a rosy garden either, but compared to Communism and Marxism, Capitalism is at least honest with acknowledging that buyers, employers, employees, and sellers, and even bankers, are all selfish humans that need to work. To this day, capitalism still works with some modifications here and there, meanwhile, Communism still sucks, and those who complain about Communism, get killed.
