Finished Spiritual Enlightenment- the damndest thing. Question for Leo

Hi Leo

 

I just finished the book spiritual enlightenment the damndest thing by Jed McKenna and it made me even more confused. 
 

After reading Ralston like a madman and even going to one of his workshops. I thought enlightenment was assessable to people if they just did the work and that it was a scale not an “on off” thing. This resonates with what you teach and what I’ve experienced myself. 
 

However Jed McKenna is very stark in saying most people on a “path” are not heading towards enlightenment. 
 

Is it a process or on/off thing? 
Is it true that only .01% of Genuine Seekers attain it?

Are you still pursuing enlightenment or has God realization taken it’s place? 
Where do I put my focus and energy as I, the ego, wants enlightenment? 
What else is spiritually possible aside from Enlightenment that’s worth pursuing if you don’t want to make that the only goal, seeing that only .01% of SEEKERS attain?

@BlessedLion I haven't read that one by Jed yet in it's entirety, but I have read his book "Theory of Everything".

From what I understand there is just consciousness. So, all this path stuff is just you dreaming. To be enlightened is to fully Grok yourself as God as a total, absolute experience. A path can only exist in an unenlightened state. 

Also these books are written to destroy so much of spiritual ego. 

I will finish that book soon. thought, I enjoyed "Theory of Everything" More because it was shorter and more to the point.

There are many different kinds of awakening and higher consciousness, so you have to specify what claims people are actually making and what your goals are.

Since you can't know who's claims are highest, you should keep an open mind and don't assume you've reached the end of whatever consciousness is capable of.
