My Confusion On the Relativity of Numbers

Leo says that that I can either see my hand as 1 hand, 5 fingers, trillionsof cells, etc. but aren't they all just fractions of 1 hand? 5 fingers should be 5 fifths of 1 hand and therefor the answer is still one right? How is what Leo said comapible with Oneness or the Universe?

The point is that you can slice the cake anyway you want. One hand, five fingers, it doesn’t matter. 

What’s important to recognize though is that it’s your mind that’s doing the slicing. And it’s not slicing arbitrarily. It’s slicing based on what’s convenient for its survival.
