truth

5 posts in this topic

let's take the example from the other week. It was true that I felt something we can label as sad. It was true that I felt resentment of existence. It was true that I had a certain thought, and it was true that that certain though made my sadness worse.

Is that correct? like, this is something I actually experienced, and the above describes it perfectly.

AM I right or am I misunderstanding?

Those are relative, 2nd-order truths.

You are dreaming the other week.

How would you go about distinguishing a 2nd-order truth from a 1st-order truth? Is that a worthwhile activity?

Everything conceptual, everything you think, is 2nd order truth.

1st order truth is your direct experience.
