People basically want relationships, because they don't feel self-sufficient or a sense of their life not being complete.

For me, this is a sign of low self-esteem. I don't want a relationship, but would be open for it, if it somehow transpires.

But I don't go to dating platforms and try to artificially construct something.

So many people do this and I cannot relate to this at all, so I feel something is wrong with me even if - obviously - something is wrong with all other people..

Would you like to talk a little bit about the topic here as well.

I enjoy talking about different topics.

@Tyler Robinson

Basically, we all have preferences. And thus, we don't really love each other. Instead, we want to use each other for our own purposes and only care because of survival reasons.

Now, maybe real love arises out of this selfish interests, but not the way it appears to be.

I don't think anybody can ever overcome his conditioning.

But what do you do when you aware about that? Each communication and connection feels fake and selfish.. Even if I don't think about it, if someone comes accross and want to artifically create a connection via some memorized methods it comes up again.

What is the line between authentic interest and selfish interest if every action is based upon conditioning?

I think maybe authentic interest is when you don't have a concious agenda and don't think about or be too concious about what you say..

And if it is not trained according to ones own agenda, but to make other people feel good at max.

Social conditioning is less selfish, because it is social. Self-conditioning is selfish by definition.

And being selfish is not a good thing. Because, it is not possible to live fully individual. The community always matters as well. Unless you want to have chaos, war and pure suffering.

Now the question arises: "Is conditioning by media or social media social-conditioning?" It is not, because it is based upon the agenda of a minority of people.

Nowadays, people lack of ideas and they try to come up with something new and think they are geniuses and call themselves "progressive".

More than 99% of all people, who call themselves "progressive" aren't actually it.

They want to reverse wisdom and moral codexes, which are etablished over thousands of years, because they want to be "free". But what they call freedom is no real freedom but the endless chasing of stimulating experiences, which doesn't make anybody happy.

I think most of the progressive types aren't as near as smart as philosophers like Aristoteles and co. . They are just dumb people who want to feel smart. And thus mislead people and cause widespread suffering as a result.

Individualism is a complete illusion or delusion and it is so obvious.

Moreover, people who think everybody should do what they want to do don't realize the only reason why they can do so much is that an economy and society could grow only because of moral and ethical rules. We wouldn't have all the progress if the individual would have been in the center for so long and if it becomes worse, that would be the cause of the end of our civilization - not climate change.

I think, it is a shame how we treat the fruits of our ancestors, great inventors and minds. All the achievements of the Enlightenment, among others, are being trampled on by people who are 100 times dumber than they are but who hold important political and socio-economic positions.

And many people get trapped in chasing stimulations (like money, sex, social status etc.), because they think "I know what you mean, but I have to experience that for myself. I think I have to go through this phase"
- not getting the idea that they only want to do that, because they were manipulated by gurus, media etc. And that it only costs time and doesn't deliver the personal development one think it could. Letting go of the thought "I somehow missing having done this" or FOMO does deliver more development than giving in.

I mean money, sex and social status can be good (but not the best things life can offer), if it is used in moderation and has no importance - other than it is important to survive physically of course.

Yes. The way our political systems are designed, it definitely contributes to the problem. We give too much into identity politics. Much of the political spectrum is guided by emotions rather than using rationale to use time and resources for the larger benefit of society.

Yes one of the major social evils is individualism. It leaves very little fodder for social or community cohesion. I think one of the reasons why communities like the Amish will be a huge resource in the future is because of the way they would contrast against a morally declining society. It's already happening. People are looking for a substratum, a sense of support, because this is how the human Reptilian brain was designed. It was designed for community bonding and just because it seems outdated or Biblical, it doesn't take away the fact that we still need it today just as much as we needed it back then, it doesn't go out of fashion. There's always this need to discredit anything and everything that is outdated. Although what existed before can also be used as a foundation rather than chipping away at it.

I agree. And if we would cut that part of the brain off, it would lead to suffering as well, because it is interconnected with other parts of the brain. One would have to redesign the whole thing from scratch and even then empathy and social cohesion would be a necessary part of it and happiness cannot work without emotions or empathy. Thats why Psychopaths can rarely or not feel it. They feel pleasure at max.
