What's truly worth craving for?

7 posts in this topic

When you get bored of work/purpose/passion, you want to hold on to something that your mind can occupy itself with. Romance, attraction, love, passion, any kind of passion is a temporary attachment to things we love being engaged with. But it feels like a chimp being obsessed with toys. Video games, porn, music, entertainment, life purpose, work, romance, it seems everything has an expiration date. After that you outgrow all that and begin to feel like nothing truly grabs your attention forever.

What do you crave for next? What is truly worth craving for, something that will last forever?

@Tyler Robinson Learn that craving is your way of endlessly self torturing yourself, chasing one false coin after another.

It’s not about craving the right thing. It’s actually embracing emptiness, which is a radically different way of existing.

@Tyler Robinson You cant never get tired of expanding who you are,but the catch is there is no help to expanding yourself, you are on your own.For example if we take imagination and creativity it takes your own uniqueness to start to work on this. Its like building your own world in your mind for yourself and nobody can tell you for what you will build this world etc.

So its easy for the outside world to give you everything on a plate..enterteiment tv shows etc. (so you dont have to build it for yourself)

Because its tough to build everything for yourself and expand it every day we are mostly codependent minded...

I dont know if this makes any sense probably doesnt :)

There is nothing safe with playing it safe.

There's always something new and exciting to look forward to. You just have to direct your attention towards it. Instead of the negative falsities that the news (including alternative news) wants you to focus on. Make a list of things you look forward to.

  • I will eat a croissant tomorrow with ham and cheese. It will be the best croissant I ever had.
  • I will ask that construction worker to go out with me tomorrow and let him buy the croissant if he says yes.
  • I will create a unique perfume that makes me smell different from every other girl that exists.

I left this forum because a moderator has a problem with me talking positively about myself and giving advice. This reflects the forum as a whole. This place is negative, bitter, hateful and anti success. If you don't notice this that's because you're one of them. I hope some of you benefited from my posts. Take care.
