What does it mean to be spiritually asleep?

It means you are so smart....that you are stupid. What does this mean? I'll explain....so I sat here asking myself what is meaning....and it struck me....I actually didn't know. I sat here and realized...that knowledge and meaning are the same thing...and that meaning and knowledge is that which we construct or build. But then I realized...that language....is a miracle. We take language for granted but we don't realize...that language actually doesn't make sense at all.

I give you a list of symbols call the Alphabet in English. I then give you a ridiculous number of combinations of these symbols, and their sounds...change depending on how you combine them and then there are cultural contexts and situation contexts and the definitions keeps changing and there are accents!!!!! Do you not realize...how language is a freaking miracle? Do you not realize how complex and intelligent you have to be...to learn a language? Sit down and really contemplate this!!!

You will realize...how stupid you are for thinking you are stupid!!! You have to be ridiculously intelligent to learn EVEN ONE LANGUAGE!! Language...is literally impossible!!! Its a freaking miracle!! You have no idea....how ridiculously intelligent you have to be....and you take it for granted as if its normal!!! This is PROOF you are asleep!! You are asleep on how ridiculously intelligent you are!!! Just mastering language alone... makes you a genius!!! But you are so smart...you are dumb and numb to how smart you are!!! Which is SO FUNNY!!!! Even you being numb to how smart you are...is itself a MIRACLE!!!

Like how could you NOT realize how smart you are? I know....if you are walking in a world of other geniuses...you would think...you aren't smart. So your delusion comes from comparison...lol....its so funny how everything always comes down to comparison. A 6 foot tall man would believe he is tall in Japan, but drop him in the NBA and he is a midget. Oh...as they say comparison is the thief of all joy!!

Oh and this entire passage....is proof that meaning can come from deconstruction as well since I had to deconstruct meaning...to construct meaning....to figure out that meaning....doesn't even make sense....even though to construct meaning...you are using sense (sensory perception) to create sense. So you use sense to create more sense. Which I've already pointed to in the past....but really ask what meaning is from your POV. I mean really dive deep and you will realize....you don't know. If you ask the age old question you asked as a Child Why does that mean that? You keep asking why....you will realize you don't know.

This is proof when you were a child you were on the right track...lol your parents/guardians just kicked you off the track lol.

I've actually been contemplating this topic too recently, I plan to try to go deep on language and meaning later on during some trips. It's a very mysterious function of consciousness in my opinion, the ability for something to point towards something else.

Exactly....you will discover...that meaning....cannot ever be spoken....we have never spoken meaning ever....meaning...is absolutely mysterious. The only explanation I can conclude its God recognizing itself through recontextualization like being in a hall of infinite mirrors and coming up with an interpretation.

yep, I had this insight this year and wrote this on our forum:

 

All there is just a Raw Reality, which is predicated upon Awareness and is manifested in the form of perception, a.k.a. the five senses. These five senses travel through your perception, call it a “stencil”. When these perceptions are collected and converged onto the focal point, we have an emergence, call it a human being. The mind interprets raw experience and creates identity. How? By the means of language. What is language? It is a sound. We assign meaning to any shape/or abstract notion by the means of the sound. When we give any linguistic load to the object, we mean the perceptive experience, but not the object. It is just a label, right? Because objects do not exist separately from the perception, which includes the five senses. So, we decode the material reality by the means of the five senses and convert them into plausible reality. Again, you are not a human being! Here is how you emerge:

1.       Awareness

2.       Perception decoded into the five senses:

3.       Vibration creates sound (which is hearing), sound is encoded into language.

4.       Then by grouping the various noises, you create words.

5.       Language is a tool by which you assign the meaning to the objects=semantic load.

 Remove language and you will not be able to describe reality. Duality will collapse. All you’d have would be the raw reality which is Oneness: awareness and five senses allow this raw reality to be.
