Elon Musk Twitter Trainwreck Mega-Thread

536 posts in this topic

Musk's arrival to twitter is awesome.

He brought back Tate and is honouring his commitment to free speech, very needed in these times.

He has honoured one of the top libertarian values; a free and open society.

@Danioover9000 Sure,

in a story he shares how:

He makes really good friends with a trans comedian. “She” was one of Dave’s biggest fans. She laughed at all his jokes and at the trans jokes even harder.

She said at one point “I just want people to realize I do t care if I am Trans. I just want people to see I am having a human experience”

(True story). After performing with Dave Chappelle the trans community bullied this trans person so hard 2 weeks later she committed suicide. Dave chappele started a fund for the trans persons daughter she can access when she is 24. Dave said at the end…

”Young lady, I knew your father. He was a wonderful woman”

@Hatfort Did you actually listen to chappelles trans jokes?

I wasn't judging his jokes and I'm not going to. The point about mentioning this is that Elon was blaming wokeism for the booing but it's unlikely those wokes were present in Dave Chappelle's show because they had a problem with one of his shows very recently.

@Hatfort No, not every woke person had a problem with his show. These demographics are hard to pin down given media out rage, etc

This or Elon Musk is disliked by much more people than those considered wokes.

“Woke” doesn’t exist.  It is a made up term in the way that right wing media (and their supporters) uses it.  It is a made up spaghetti monster they use to keep their own in line.

Woke is and was always an AAVE term that basically means being aware of injustices in society against black people.

It was hijacked by right wing media (mostly whites) as a form of identifying opposite beliefs from their own.  They use it to point to black people, minorities, poor people, LGBTQ people, anybody who is oppressed or anybody that contradicts right winger’s beliefs — they lump everyone in the same camp.  The irony is that they themselves are showing everyone where they fall in their beliefs by how they are using the term “woke”….lol.

Musk’s big problem is that he believes the Twitter right wing lite™️ bubble he always finds himself in, is reality.  But nah, real life is starting to knock on his door.  He’s like in a 4Chan for boomers echochamber.

The crowd that goes to Chappelle’s stand ups aren't going to have any “woke” people (the conservative use of the word woke) in the audience.  Chappelle fans tend to be more edgy and don’t give a fuck.

The crowd spoke… and Elon Musk sucks major ass.

The best part about this though, is people are actually beginning to wake up about Elon — ironic, because they’re actually becoming woke lmao.  It is his own doing and unfortunately he’s doing it on the world stage for everyone to see.

Woah! Hot take, bro! Keep up this level of heat and you’ll set the place on fire!

Oh mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head… And as I climb into an empty bed, oh well, enough said… I know it’s over, still I cling, I don’t know where else I can go… Over…

I don't dislike Musk. He is good with technology and innovation. It's just that I think he has bad political takes. He focuses on political power/influence that's tailored to profit him personally and his business

Musk is now truly starting to learn how free speech works.

I wish you a speedy learning curve, buddy.

His recent shenanigans with Twitter's real-time flights prove this. He requires survival just like everyone else. Free speech partially demands that you're willing to accept death. Look at Alexander Hamilton. He fully believed in free speech and died because of that belief. Talking shit has consequences that threaten your survival everyone has to face.

@thepixelmonk that's crazy, isn't it? I still don't understand the point of firing those journalists.
