This is a fennec fox

 

I also apparently got recommended the same platypus video as Leo yesterday and went down a whole rabbit hole of related animals.

This is a Lowland Streaked Tenrec. I didn't realize it existed until yesterday:

It's like a shrew mixed with a hedgehog. But it's actually more closely related to elephants than hedgehogs.

They are the only known mammal to use stridulation (rubbing body parts together) to make noise (similar to crickets and rattlesnakes.)
